Camping with Boat Access Without Going over the Mountains?

Can anyone recommend a place to go camping where we can take our boat without having to drive over the mountains? Prefer not to go to Easter WA - looking for something a little closer near a freshwater lake. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks

Well, not freshwater, but Kayak Point County Park has camping, a boat launch (if I remember correctly), beach and fishing. Nice playground too. It gets pretty packed when it's nice.
It's a few miles north of Everett.

I know there are some places in the San Juans, or down south along the shore. Your best bet may be to go to the State Parks web site
http://beta.parks.wa.gov/parksearch.asp
where you can search by your desired features.

Good luck!!

Oh, I hesitate to let the cat our of the bag....but Flowing Lake in Snohomish, great camping (there is a size restriction), lake for swimming, trails, it is GREAT! - We've never taken a boat but there is a boat launch there.

Positively,
M.

Not sure where you are... anyway, there's Baker Lake.
