Totally worth every penny. That's the exact age I started putting my daughter in it. Now she's 10 months old and wants to stand all the time so she tries to get out of it but I left it out all the time and any time thatt I had to put her down especially before she could sit on her own I would just plop her in there. SOOOOOOO worth it.

It's totally worth it. My son loved his, and you can use it for feeding, reading, or if you just want to sit him up so he can watch you wash the dishes. It made him feel like he was part of the action.

I agree with everyone else, we loved our Bumbo! My child really hated to be on his tummy. Thus, we were concerned about the flat head issue! The Bumbo worked when he couldn't sit up himself yet, but we wanted him off his back. We would put him in it next to the gymini. Then he could play with the toys at eye level instead of dangling down at him. I am about to have my second child and have now bought the tray that attaches. I'm excited to use my Bumbo again!

I have the bebe pod (same thing different manufacturer) and my daughter has been using it since she was 3 months. She is now 5months and still uses it. I use it to feed her baby food from. I like it better than the highchair right now because I can set it on the table and it doesn't take up that much space. I bought the bebe pod plus which comes with a tray and toy that attaches to the tray. It is great because she will sit in her pod during dinner at the table with my husband and I and play while we eat. We have even used it on the table at restaurants (because now that she can sit up almost unassisted) she hates to sit in her carseat at restaurants. I definitely think it is worth the investment

My son loved it! As soon as your son can hold his head up you can use it. I used it until he was about 8 or 9 months.

Hi Lisa,

I really like the Bumbo seat, my daughter used it starting around 3 months. After a couple of months her legs were too chubby to fit and by then she could sit up on her own anyway.

I think it's a great product and your son is the perfect age to start using it. See if you can borrow one from a friend or try to get a used one from www.Craigslist.com.

Good luck!

Its a great buy....and allows you to put your baby down much easier. I set my son in it and he watches me make dinner and do dishes. He really loves being a part of everything, and the bumbo seat allows him to do this!

My son also used the Bumbo and really liked it - I thought it was handy as well. Like the other responder, his chubby little thighs didn't fit after a couple of months, but we still got good use out of it. L. W.

My son loved his....I don't remember his exact age, but it was well worth the money. I put him in it as soon as he was stable with his head/neck. We would sit him on the table (with us of course) and he loved it. They now have the tray that attaches and that would work great because my only complaint was he would always drop his toys. The tray would prevent this from happening.
