Hi, I know I'm a little late getting back to you all again. But the name changed when our baby was born. He is Mylz Bucklee. With a little help from my other son! He really liked the name Bucklee so we thought it would be nice to let him keep it. Thanks again for all the help!!
Hugs, S.

Hi S.,
I loved the name Chasen (a mix of Chase and Jason) for our son - but my husband wanted a good old normal boy name (we went with Tyler - which fits him to a T!) I never really found a spelling of it I liked - Chasen, Chason, Chasin, Chasyn. I think I read it on your responses, but I also thought Talen (with a long a) was cool. I think it's important to think about nicknames too - they always happen whether you like it or not. Good luck on your little boy!

Hey I hear unique names at work all of the time. One new one is Islander. It really grows on you after awhile. Kindrick, Kinter, Braxton, Axton or Afton, Layton,Ace, Jaden,Riley, Parker, and Camdon. Oh and as a photographer I am fond of Canon and Olympus but not fuji or kodak. LOL! Hopefully that helped a little let me know if you need more and I will keep my eye out!

Just remember, your child has to live with his name on the playground. Parents sometimes don't think about that. Also, I don't know what your last name is, but mine is really weird, and so I named my boys "normal" names to balance things out. They may (and probably will) get teased about their last names, but I had much less control about that, heh.
Congrats!!

I always liked the name Adrienne for a boy.

I also liked Vincent (Vince) and Julian (Jules) for a boy, these were the only names my husband supported me on because they are also the name of the characters from Pulp Fiction. :) I never realized that. :)

Good Luck!

I am into traditional family names. My daughter's name is Merrick after my grandfather. It is really a unisex name. I also had Kelton picked out if she was a boy. Kelton was my grandgrandfather's German sur-name. I also like Benton, Domanic, Shelton, Manni, all family names.

Congrats!! I have a 6 month old little boy, and we named him Ethan. We didn't think it was very common...until we saw the Social Security name list. (Lol!) I also liked Marshall, Owen, Lucas, Luke, and I LOVE old fashion names! Our son is going to hate us...He has two middle names and our last name is Kassen (K-ASS-en) and EVERYONE pronounces it incorrectly! Lol! Anyway, I also wanted to incorporate some family names w/Ethan and thats why he has two middle names, one from my G-pa and the other is my husbands G-pa. Oh, and last names are begining to become popular too. Good luck!!

Josiah is a great name it means "The Lord Saves". He was a boy king in the bible. This is my oldest boys name(21yrs).
I also have:
Zachariah
Jedediah
Orran
Isaiah
and have always liked Elijah and Jaidyn

I gave all my boys common middle names so if for any reason they didn't like the uniqueness of their names they had commonality to fall back on. Thankfully my boys all like their names and are adamant about using them properly.

Good Luck on naming your little boy

My husband and son are both named Kalven, which seems to be pretty rare. I've only met one other since I had my son, and of course it was spelled Calvin, so ours seems to be unique. Also, my son's middle name is Jaxson because my grandpa always called me Jackson and my hubby calls me Jax. Whatever you name him, remember he has to live with it for the rest of his life, and really make it your own.

A boy name I always liked was Kemp or Kemper. We thought that would be the name we would name our son but when he arrived and we had four names picked out (Jonathan, Ryan, Luke and Kemper) AND it was St. Pattys day when he was born, we decided to go with Ryan. We may consider Kemper for the next child if its a boy. I'm starting to like the name Dylan/Dillon as well. I had liked the name Kaiden, but my neighbor just named their little girl Kaidan, so it feels too much like a girls name to me, although we've found that there are quite a few girls named Ryan now-a-days too... Anyway, hope that helps! Let us know what you guys decide.

how unique? Don't get too crazy, for his sake. I always think people who go way out on a limb for their kid's name are just in need of attention themselves. And this is his name; imagine him with it at 6 months old, 5 years old, 15 years old, 45 years old, and 70 years old.
On that note, "Catcher in the Rye" is one of my favorite books, and the lead character's name is Holden. I like that. I also like Aivan, although I have never heard it before.
Good luck.

WOW!! You've had alot of responses! I love unique names. I have two sons named Donovan and Daxon (don't steal 'em) lol! I have a little girl I named Maddix. I think they are pretty rare. I just don't want my child sitting in class with 5 other kids with the same name. I saw that with some girls named Mikayla in my sons class.
So here is a name for a boy-----Kyan (pronounced like Ryan) I've never heard it before! I also like
Dallen

Something you could do- look in the phonebook at last names. There is great name that are unique as first names. I would love to hear back from you on what you decide on. Good luck!

I agree with the one person who said be careful on what names you give your child. My name is J. (pronounced John-na) but i got made fun of all the time, and it was pronounced all the time, and that was very hard as a kid, because it really made me feel a bit seperated from the rest. But any who, i think Cayden. My husband suggested Harley Davision then the lst name lol he is a nut. Cayden is about all i can come up with :)

Hey S.

My sons name is Clayton (12yrs) and he says he loves his name b/c he is the only Clayton in his class. If you look at some old fashion names you can find some good ones like Clayton, Marshal, Bennet...these are just a few names that I found within my own family. Ask around in your family and your husband’s family to see if there are any names that strike your fancy. My husband and I could not agree on my daughters name until after we spoke to his mom and found out that her mothers middle name was Emeline (pronounced Emma-line) as soon as we heard it we both knew that was our daughters name. Congratulations, Good Luck, and if you don't mind, let us know what you decide!!

Well here is my two cents worth... Treiton (TRAY-ton), Sawyer, Cobin (like Corbin but with out the r) and Sabin. My best friend's oldest son is Dashiell (Dash for short) and her youngest is Cohen which is usually a last name but it fits him really well. We picked Tanner for our son because we really liked it and hadn't heard it too often. Of course after he was born we found out we have a neighbor named Tanner and a friend of my daughter has a brother named Tanner. Oh well...he's definitely unique no matter what his name is.
