Put a call out to your specialty-grocery store: Metropolitan Market, Whole Foods, or Trader Joes. If you really want to do something unique, contact Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream Parlor (www.snoqualmiegourmet.com/our_parlor.html). They have specialty ice creams in so many unique flavors. From experience, their flavors are worth a try--not too sweet and perfectly creamy.

If you have an ice cream machine you could try adding a few drops of anise oil to it to flavor it and see if that works. I see you live in Federal Way, I do too and if you don't have any anise oil I can share some with you. Send me a message if you want. K.

I used to work for Trotter's Restaurant in Auburn, and it was their standard October "flavor of the month." The restaurant has recently changed owners, but I have heard that the new owners have decided to continue many of the Trotters traditions, so they may still carry it. I know that the previous owner had to resort to buying the licorice ice cream from the Kent Cash and Carry in recent years, although that might be a TAD too large of a size for what you are looking for. (Sadly, I think I could eat that much...which is why I don't buy it! LOL!) Blessings to you and yours! :)

Baskin n Robbins seems to always have it. Give your specific one a call to be sure and if not, ask them which store might carry it.

I would think that Baskin Robbins would sell it. I think there is one in Federal Way. I know Sumner has one. Just make a few phone calls. Try ColdStone or Stone Cold Creamery (can't remember the actual name LOL) also, or any other fancy ice cream shop.

Licorice Ice Cream is seasonally available at Baskin and Robbins, usually around Halloween (before).
I hope your friend's hand heals quickly.
Be well.

Baskin and Robbins on Main St. in Puyallup used to sell. I don't know if they still do.
