My little cutie is finally 3! We're planning to have family and friends over to celebrate with appetizers, snacks and birthday cake. Any one do anything creative? I'm seeking some inspiration!

Well, what is your daughter interested in? You would really need to go from there. My oldest loved Clifford when she was 3. My middle loved (and still does at 7 actually) Tinkerbell. So we went with that as themes. We've actually had to do a few tinkerbell themed parties for my middle one. There are all sorts of ideas on the internet though.

For my daughter's 4th birthday, we did a Teddy Bear's Picnic at a local park -- everyone brought their favorite stuffy, we told teddy bear stories, sang teddy bear songs, and had teddy bear cupcakes. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it.

How about a tea party (maybe with juice or iced tea instead of real tea)? Or a princess tea party? (all the little girls can come dressed in a princess "gown" - and since halloween is around the corner, most would be able to use their daughter's "gowns" for halloween).

I've never done a theme, but I have a friend who does. For her son's second birthday, she chose Curious George; for his third, she chose Thomas the train. What is your daughter interested in? Use that as your inspiration, and have fun with it!
