Hi J.,

My daughter also loves Tinkerbell and I searched every where to find her. The best one I found was Patrice with Regal Parties. She does an amazing job and does other characters as well as Tinkerbell. The kids absolutly loved her and were completly entertained the entire time she was there. Another plus, a year later a friend from my duaghters school had her at her party as Tinkerbell and she actually remembered my daughter. Which made a huge impression on her. We will be having her back again this year. Here is her phone number and website.

Are you close to the Santa Cruz area? If so, go to http://www.happilyeverlaughter.com. They sent a mermaid to my son's 3rd birthday last year, and she was great! They may have a Tinkerbell like character also.

It's worth calling Eastern Onion to see if they have a Tinkerbelle actor. We've used them three times over the years for various princesses, and they are a pleasure to work with over the phone. Their performers are top notch.

Maybe check out the local community theatre group. You might be able to find someone willing to do it from there.

I would go onto CraigsList for you area and look under Services and Events. I have seen some posted for our area as Disney Princesses.
I hope this helps.

Hi J.,

I work with the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival and one of our actresses does birthday parties. I know she does a whole fairy birthday party with another of our actresses as Tinkerbell ( because she's the blonde!), so I've sent her an email about your posting asking if it is ok for me to pass along her contact info. When she gets back to me, I'll send you a private message. Sara is our main instructor for our summer camp, and has worked with several other companies with their kids programs, so she will be awesome with the little ones. :o)

Update -
Sara responded that fairy parties are her very favorite (followed by pirate parties for girls!), so she is very interested in helping you put together the perfect party for you daughter. I'll send you a private message with her phone number.

J.,
Maybe you could hire a teenager and rent a costume for her to wear for the party? There are two shops that I know of that have a great selection. One is in Lincoln and the other is in Fair Oaks.

My daughter had a tinkerbell party for her 4th. I hired the neighborhood babysitter to show up, and went to PartyAmerica and bought a girls tinkerbell costume and green wings.

Other Tinkerbell themed stuff we did was have "Tink" paint their faces and put on tinkerbell tattoos. I also printed out a large size photo of Tinkerbell on my home printer and then cut out a bunch of paper wings so that we could play pin the wings on the fairy. Finally, I took posterboards and cut out fairy shaped wings, and strung ribbon through holes so they could be tied on to each girls shoulders. Then I brought out markers, glitter and stickers and let each girl decorate their own set of wings. I"m sure this activity could be adapted for age 2.

We had a lot of fun! Good luck!

Have you tried Children's Delight Entertainment? ###-###-####

We had Cinderella and Prince Charming come over and sing and dance the waltz for the children. Prince Charming did balloons shapes for the kids and Cinderella did face painting after their show. It was spectacular. It was about four years ago so I hope they are still in business for you to check out.

J.,

I contacted a place called Magic Princess for my daughter's birthday. They have several characters and Tinkerbell, I believe is one them. I must say I was VERY pleased with the service they provided. The performer interacted with the children and played sing along games, painted faces and made balloon puppets. Magic princess can be found on the web, just type in magicprincess.com or call them at (888) 562-4425. Good luck and birthday greetings to your little one.

My first thought is....if you cannot find a professional that does princess parties, then I would try your local high school and see if you can get one of the girls in the drama department that might be interested in helping you out. You will probably have to help with the costume, but besides that it would probably work out just great. Good Luck!

I don't know of any characters to show up for a party, but I do know that Peter Pan is playing at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore right now. It runs from July 17-Aug 2. My daughter loves Peter Pan so I'm thinking about taking her as well. Just a though.

If you can get ahold of a copy of Bay Area Parent magazine there are always adds in the back for these types of characters. It is a free magazine available in "free" stands. I also see it as our pediatrician's office, gymboree, and our preschool. Good luck!
