I have never seen slim pants at Target hmmm
Old Navy is pretty good but the slimmest I have found is from the Gap. They come in slim and they run slim as well. They also have an adjustable waistband.
Hi Moms, I have a 7 1/2 year old second grader that I am having trouble finding pants that fit well. Even with the cinching waistband they still look huge in the mid section. What brands/ stores do you like for your little guy? Even some of the "skinny jeans" are still too wide or big I the waist area.
Thanks for your help!

I find that Gap and Old Navy, slim fit and skinny jeans fit my skinny son well.
Try the straight jeans at Old Navy. They come in "slim".
Lands End boys size slim pants...only when they are on sale.
Children's Place slim pants.
Target! I used to get all my son's pants there because we had to have the navy blue.
Good luck!!
Gap. Gap jeans and pants are TRULY "Slim"...
Next best is Old Navy.
I love Old Navy because you can buy slim and still get the cinch waist.
I like Old Navy as well...but I just had to move on to Crazy 8, they were the only brand I could find with a 27" or longer inseam in boys jeans.
My eight year old has a 27" inseam...so he is in a size 12 slim jean from Crazy 8...
Try Old Navy first they have slims and skinny legs all jeans have adjustable waists.
Good luck!!
I have a girl, but she's got the same problems and usually Old Navy has something that will fit her.
For fall/winter I usually do the jersey/knit/fleece pants with the elastic waist for my slender boy. Kohl's carries a brand of these I like well, as they are technically sweat pants material, but don't look like sweat pants. They have cargo pockets and wear well over lots of washing.
While I do buy jeans for my son, he typically doesn't wear them well. He gets a rub rash on the back of his legs if they are slim fit, and the regular fit are too big in the waist most of the time. :(
Our son had an eating disorder and was extremely thin for a while (although now happily gets to wear regular size pants). Lands' End runs very skinny in their slim size. They have a big 30% off everything sale right now, so it's a great time to try them. We also had luck with Children's Place. Their slim fit straight leg style didn't look baggy in his legs and could be cinched in further in the waist.
