Bendaroos vs Wikki Stiks?
Hi Ladies,
I wondered if anyone has any experience with Bendaroos and or Wikki Stiks? My 10 year old saw a commercial for Bendaroos and is begging for some. I know Wikki Sticks are made in the USA and are non toxic but I can't seem to find any info on Bendaroos. Would love to hear from you if you have tried either or both. Many thanks!

Used Wikki Stiks and seems like the Bendaroos look the same. My son has requested me to get the Bendaroos but after I showed him the Wikki's I had he was overjoyed with them.

This is funny to see this question...because every time a Bendaroos commercial comes on TV, my girls go nuts! I've never heard of wikki sticks, I'll have to look those up.

I just bought some Bendaroos ... my kids begged for them too! Haven't opened them yet though, they're from "Santa". But what I read online through research was that Bendaroos didn't leave the oily residue behind that Wikki Stiks sometimes did. We'll find out soon. But in any case, any crafty projects are winners on my list.

Never heard of Bendaroos... LOVE Wikki stiks. My sister gave us some in a birthday party goodie bag and my kids loved them. Great entertainment in the car or pretty much anywhere. I bought some this summer to have when we traveled a great distance. Great to have in my purse to pull out in long lines or at odd times when the kids are restless. We used them this fall while we were passing time waiting for my husband to finish an marathon. Great pictures of the kids (3 and 5) wearing their great glasses, necklaces, watches, rings and other great creations.
Never tried cleaning them though. Once they hit the dirt (or lots of lint/small particle stuff) they are pretty grungy and we toss them. They don't last more than a day if we take them outside because the girls inevitably drop them when trying them on.
Wonderful toy. Highly recommend. 10 year old should be able to do so much more with them. I sometimes make little creations for the kids (little people with various clothing, etc) and they go wild trying to recreate the item. Fun for all ages.
Have fun.
Liz
(P.S. I think I bought my set from AC Moore)

Bendaroos are advertised in the most recent Harriet Carter catalog and can be found there or on-line at www.harrietcarter.com.
I also googled Wikki Stix and found local locations (such as A.C. Moore) where they could be purchased on: www.wikkistix.com.
The first I heard of them was your inquiry, so I don't have any experience with either.

Hi,
I have never heard of Bendaroos but worked at a pediatric hospital and we used Wikki Sticks frequently and really liked them. They were really well liked by the kids and the staff as well. We used them for a variety of projects so I would highly recommend Wikki Sticks.

Too funny - my girls just watched a commercial for Bendaroos five minutes ago and went crazy (gotta have those!!!) I had Wiki Sticks as a kid. Looking at the Bendaroos commercial made me think the projects are pretty identical. Sorry I don't have any advice really. Just thought your post was funny since my kids are begging for these things too :)
