Beanbag / Lovesac Help

I am thinking about buying a beanbag chair or lovesac for upcoming birthdays/Christmas and am surprised at how expensive they are! I want to get a good quality one, I have 2 children, 2 and 5 years old, so it needs to be able to endure them as well as my husband who would jump on it just like the two kiddos.
So my question is what type of cover would be the most durable and easiest to clean? Is there a certain brand I should get or stay away from? Anything else I need to look out for while shopping? What size would you recommend for us? (I originally wanted to just buy 2 bean bag chairs for my kids to have their own while lounging in the front room, but then thought it would be nice to have one big one where we could all pile up and be together. So I'm not really sure if there is a kind that is not so expensive that would fit 2 adults and 2 kids...)
Thanks in advance!! :)
UPDATE: We do not have any animals, and this would be in our basement-away from food so we don't have to worry about the spills from children, except we do need to watch out for the spills from my husband. He's guaranteed to eat anywhere he's not supposed to. :P

What can I do next?

I bought a solid black one from Walmart for $16 when my 1 year old broke his leg... It's some kind of fake leather, which wipes easy, but isn't very fun! So I took old Disney character sheets and made covers for it :)

My niece bought a loveseat-sized Lovesac (brand name) and I think it's the most stupid thing I've ever seen. I just don't get it, maybe. I think she paid $700-800 for it. AND she had to break apart & stuff it herself!
Target has beanbag chairs for $25 and the BIG ones for about $250.
My son begged for a bean bag chair. Now we move it out of the way constantly...so annoying. Hey--that reminds me--trash day is VERY soon! LOL

Depending on what sort of money you want to spend, and if you want it to be a "mainstay" piece of furniture for your living room area instead of a couch/love seat, I would absolutely recommend the Foof chair (google it... there is a Foof store that ships for free). The material is not bean bag material, it is more of a memory foam... it is AWESOME!! We have an xxl in our living room for the past 5 years now and just can't get rid of it! It is the best piece of furniture that we own! lol! I would also recommend microfiber.... it cleans up nicely and if anything spills, it pools up instead of seeps through! You are going to spend at least $400 for it. It would be great for your whole family and will last for a long time. We also have a Foof ottoman. We eventually got my daughter a small Foof for her room (about $100), but honestly, it is a night and day difference from a bean bag... you will not regret it!! Think of it this way... you would most likely spend more that $400 for a couch... this thing is much more comfy than a couch!!

We bought one because we thought it would be great for the same reason- we had it 6 months and couldnt wait to get rid of it. My boys didnt like it it doesnt matter how big it is somebody is rolling off onto the floor- It ended up just an extra place for sleepover kids. The covers come off and are easily washable I would recommend getting two if you want them to use them.

I would get them separate ones. My kids are 7 and 9 and are on their second ones. First one was cloth and would get covered with dog and cat fur. The current ones are the fake leather stuff and they like them. Just find some small cheap ones for now.

Last Christmas we bought our (then) 2 year olds each a bean bag chair. I opted for the cloth/material kind, opposed to the "leather" material. While the "leather" kind are more easy to wipe clean, I figured the cloth kind would be more comfortable. I make sure that they don't snack on them to avoid any stains or messes. It has never been an issue. I ordered ours from Wal-Mart - they didn't have them in-store but they do have them on their website. I believe they were around $30-$40 each. To by-pass the shipping fee I had them shipped to the store and then I picked them up (we live 5 minuted from a wal-mart). We have been happy with these bean bag seats but I may purchase some more bean-bag filler to plump them up now that they are getting a little older/bigger. (You can also buy bean bag filler at Wal-Mart. Hope this helps!

They take up a LOT of space. I would also not have one with small children because a spill will be almost impossible to clean. My SD has one, it got puked on by the cat, she pulled the cover off and now it sits coverless downstairs because there's no room in her room for it. If you want your kids to have something to sit on, try a large pillow pet, frankly.

Keep any bean version of the bean bag chair away from cats. Even well-behaved cats seem to equate them with litterboxes.

Love Sacs are pricier then Bean bag chairs...but well worth the money because they are durable.

My best friend bought one as another place to sit other then the bed in his studio apartment.....he got one of the mega giant ones. It was awesome...you could get like 6 adults on it with out it being awkward.

We have a bean bag chair.....It sorta lays lifeless and yuck in a corner...and only is really used when they need something to fall on....while wrestling.

So Love sac is my vote for ya!

Great for our small toddler.
Gets in the way but......
Like that I can wipe it clean.

Glad I got it.
Will probably only last awhile?
