Baby Acne - Chesapeake,VA

just wanted the support of any other mommies that have went through this...
my one month old has baby acne, everything I have researched has pointed to this, I called the nurse and she even agreed. They say that it's from the spike in hormones in your body right before you're about to have the baby that can onset it. How did other mommies deal with it. I am not suppposed to put anything on it and the said don't overwash his face either.. my little baby is so pretty it stinks he has to go through this, I wonder if this puts him at higher risk for having acne as a teen. His father had pretty bad acne. hmm

What can I do next?

My little girl had it too. It started around 6 weeks, and only lasted about two weeks. It looked really bad, but I just cleaned her face with water and it cleared up on it's own.

My baby had it. It just clears up. Don't worry.

It cleared up before 3 months.

i know nearly everyone said not to treat it BUT...
my son had it too and my doctor did treat it! we purchased over the counter a shampoo called nizoral. we washed his face everyday for five days with it and then once a week after that. it worked, i swear! just a thought...
in the meantime, keep taking pictures! just print them out as black and white. they are so adorable!

Hi B.,
My DD had this two at 6 weeks. Right before her first Christmas pics! I was so upset. The dr. said to just use warm water, but I found Aveeno Baby Calming lotion and tried it. Its for treating eczema. Since I wasn't sure what would happen, I only tried it on a small area. The next day that area looked better. So then I tried more. Within a few days her skin was noticably better. If you looked hard, you could see a few bumps, but it was much better. I now make this a baby shower gift.
Hope it helps.

Hello,
My daughter went through the same thing. I felt the same way that you do but don't worry, it will go away on its own.

From what I've heard, baby acne is quite common. We dealt with eczema with my little girl. I know it is tough to look at something that may be causing discomfort, but prescriptions and heavy cleansers are so terrible for tiny ones. We began using Arbonne's ABC baby line and she cleared up immediately! The products are pure, safe and beneficial. I loved it so much I became a consultant. The products are fully refundable, so check them out! As soon as I learned exactly what was in most baby products and what they do to babies I was sold. If your interested check out TrueBeautyInspired.MyArbonne.Com. If you have questions, contact me directly and I can help you out with getting the best prices!

My youngest had this and it only lasted a couple months. Gently wipe his face down every night with warm water. I know it's so sad to see such a beautiful face with little white bumpies all over. It will go away I promise. Good luck and congratulations!

HI B.,
My DD, she's 4.5 months, had baby acne about a week after she was born and started to go away and came back. It finally went away when she was 2 months and has had a clean, smooth, beautiful face ever since. I didn't use anything to clean her face except for water when we gave her her bath. It'll go away with time. We all go through this with our little ones and feel the same as you.

My baby went through this, and it didn't clear up until after the 4th month. It doesn't bother them, but will if you overwash, or put anything on it. Letting their bodies deal with it is the best you can do. It'll pass sooner than you think.
