Are There Any Parks Around Here That Have Water Features??
Hi,
I was just wondering if there are any community/city parks that have water features that the kids can play in as well as a playground area. There are lots of great parks around here, but I thought that a park with some sort of fun water feature would be nice change. I know there are the fountains at the Westminster Promenade and at the Orchard shopping center...we have been to those, but I am wondering if there are any parks with a playground and water. They had parks like this in Northern Cali and I was just thinking maybe they have something like that around here. Does this make sense? Hopefully I am explaining it well enough. Anyway, I was just wondering, so if you know of any could you let me know. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for all your responses! They all sound like great parks! We are going to have lots of fun this summer! My son loves any kind of water...cold, hot or otherwise. I really wanted to find some fun parks with free water features to play in and I think you have all helped me to do that. Thanks again!

I was just going to second the park at Stapleton - it is an amazing park - even when the water is not running - probably the best park I have ever been to!

EB Raines Park in Northglenn has a small water feature. (By the West entrance close to the restrooms) And off the subject slightly, Paul Derda Recreation Center in Broomfield has a wonderful indoor pool with lots of fountains, buckets with falling water, 2 slides, lazy river.

Hi T.. There is a park with a water feature in Louisville. It has a playground, covered picnic area, much open grass to play in, dog park, and even a bike riding area for dirt bikes. There is a water fountain as well near the playground area. Unfortunately I don't know the name of it or the address. Maybe someone else will know the name and or address to give it to you but I at least wanted you to know that it exists. I am the mother of 4 ( 4 ,2 1/2, 10 month old twins) and we have been there....the older girls love it.
Hope you are able to find it.

Try Irving Street Park in Westminster. The fountains were turned off the day I was there, so I can't say if they were cool or not.

City Park... water feature right by the Museum of Nature & Science. There's a playground, but not right nearby.
Your best bet is a bit of a haul, but probably worth an occasional trip: Westlands Park in Greenwood Village.
Happy splashing!

There are several parks with the water that shoots up from the ground. Boulder - Pearl St. Mall, Old Arvada city center, Denver - City Park I'm sure there are many more.

Water World is my all time favorite. We get season passes and go about 3 times a week all summer long. They have a few different areas for young children/babies/toddlers and you can pack your cooler and bring it in for the day. They also have many family rides that you can take very little ones on. It's a ton of fun! It's at 84th & Pecos.

There is a park in Lafayette near Dillon and 95th. The city of Lafayette's website is down but I am sure you can find it when the site is back up.
It has a playground and a water sprayer thing that the kids can run around in. There is also an awesome fenced dog park with a fenced pond if you have dogs.
There is also a water feature on the Pearl Street Mall but no playground.

There are "jumping waters," as my son would say, similar to the Orchard at EB Rains Park, also known as Webster Lake, at 120th and Grant, one stop light east of I-25.
