Hey if you are looking to get energized for your 5k in March and maybe lose some pounds then you should try a detox diet. A natural way to get energy and lose weight. It also requires exercise while you are on it, so you will be in good shape too. Alli shouldn't even be a consideration for an athletic type especially. I can suggest Tahara Detox Diet as one of the best ones (located in pleasanton CA) If you want more information feel free to e-mail.

I have heard that if you take Alli, you need to stay home for the first 3-4 days upon taking it because your trips to the bathroom will greatly increase. I've never taken Alli but this is what I heard from my friend who took it. Hope this helps!

I tried it for about 2 weeks. It did not work for me at all. Maybe I should have given it more time, but I needed a little motivation on the scale to keep my taking the pills.

I did not experience frequent trips ti the bathroom. A friend at work was taking them around the same time I started. I checked with her last week and she has discontinued taking the pills as well. Hope this helps.

Hey my first 5k March 16th! Congrats! I have only heard that Alli is good if you eat a lot of fat...I am vegetarian for the most part and really dont take in much fat...I believe in the eat less and move more philisophy! All things worth having are worth working for---like 5k's and kids right?
Good luck to you.

I have been taking it for 3 weeks now and it has been working for me. After 1 week maybe with my regular diet and exercise I would have lost 2 lbs, with Alli I lost 4 lbs.

For me I haven't had the issue of "extra" trips to the bathroom, which I was worried about since I work all day. That is only the case if you eat something with a lot of fat since Alli merely blocks the absorbtion of fat in your body. Before I bought it I read through the info on MyAlli.com. If you are already trying to eat healthier, you are already not eating that much fat so I wouldn't worry. Also, as far as I can tell there have been no other side affects.

Of course if you think that you can take Alli and eat a double bacon cheeseburger, that's another story. You will probably be in the bathroom a lot more.

:) Good luck!

If you like running, you must be in pretty good shape. Are you really contemplating using Ali?
