Anyone Try the New Kirkland Baby Wipes?

Hi Moms,

I am interested in getting feedback on the new Kirkland (Costco) brand baby wipes. We have always used the Kirkland brand baby wipes and have been happy with them. Today I went to pick up a new case of wipes and noticed that they have moved to a new paper material (vs. cotton). Has anyone tried the new/revised brand? Would you please give me your feedback on them? I am a little concerned about the new material and wonder if it is harder than the previous material, or if it will affect the skin differently. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your input. The popular response was that the new wipes were not significantly different than the previous ones. I decided to give them a try and have decided to stick with the Kirkland brand wipes. Thanks all!

I am on my 2nd box of these new wipes. They are new because they are more "green" and the material they get it from are renewable. Big plus in my book anyways. The big difference I noticed is the smell of the wipes and that's it. Work just fine by me...

Hi Angela,

Yes I used the old wipes and am now using the new ones. They really don't seem different to me. They are soft and work well. I will continue to purchase them.

I just got them. They are not as soft as the old kirkland ones. They compare to a normal huggie wipe. They have affected my newborn nor my 2 year old in any way. My 2 year old has sensitive skin too. I actually like them better because they clean 2 year old pooh much better. So I use less of them. I seemed to use more of the other wipes.

Angela - I have seen no difference!! Can I ask do you use their diapers as well? I am possibly going to buy the Kirkland brand instead of the Huggies due to the coupon im my advertisement. Should I not like them I guess I could return them, right? Good luck with the wipes, sure there will be no problem.

We have been using Kirkland wipes for the past year and a half and I noticed the change as well. But, I am pleased to report, that we like them just as much as the others (and definitely more than the national brands). Good luck!

Gotta be honest... I am not impressed. They feel like paper. I know Costco has an awesome return policy, but I have decided to keep them and put them in all the cars to wipe things down, and keep hands and faces clean. They are totally different. I cannot figure why they changed.

angela; hey i dont know, but i do know you can make your own baby wipes if you are worried about what they are, basically you use paper towels, and then you boil two cups of water and put in two tablespoons of baby wash and one tablespoon of baby oil, you can also add many other ingredients, but this is a basic one and works well, there are lots of baby wipe recipes online, i have made them for my neices and they loved them, how they turn out depends upon the paper towell you buy, some will turn out some wont, you need them strong not nesasarily soft, the water with wash and oil in them will soften them up, it saves lots of money , either way i hope you have a wonderful day , D. s

The kids I babysit for have them and I like them a lot! They are very soft and unscented but have a very clean smell! They stretch and get the job done.

Am I the only one who finds my son is very irritated by these wipes?? I'm so disappointed. After the change I tried Pampers sensitive skin but I have to use 8-10 wipes for every 1 kirkland I use. I was a big fan of the old ones but now changing time is a nightmare because of these wipes. My son never had diaper rash as a baby until he was one and the wipes changed. I think they are rough and cause more drying (not to mention the medicinal smell). I'm looking for another comparable wipe - help!

You will notice a slight difference but I actually like them better than the old ones. They are still sensitive on the skin and the feel is soft--no worries if you are expecting it to feel like you are grabbing sheets of sand paper or anything.... I love Kirkland diapers and wipes!
