Costco Brand Diapers

My baby currently wears Huggies, but I was thinking of swinching her to the Costco Brand ('kirkland') since they are less expensive. Has anyone tried them? I am hesitant to buy a huge box when I don't know the quality.

What can I do next?

I have compared these at Costco too and you are getting a better deal to keep with the huggies. If you price it out per diaper in the box, the huggies are more per box but you are getting more diapers in the huggies box. If you do the math, it's actually cheaper to get the huggies per diaper.

YOu've probably had a 1000 responses by now, but the only kind of diapers I used to buy was Huggies, and they are still the only thing I will buy IF I am unable to get Kirkland. I have been VERY happy with the Kirkland diapers.

I LOVE Kirkland diapers. We were sad to have to change my son to Huggies brand, because Kirkland doesn't make a size 6. :( Kirkland diapers are way better quality than Huggies, in my experience.

The Kirkland diapers are great! OK so ... they look generic but are fantastic. The baby wipes are even better. I have those suckers stashed every where.

I just started to potty train and we are using the Target brand of pull ups and they seem to be doing the same job and saving me a bunch of money.

Good luck!

I was in the same boat as you. I was worried about trying the kirkland brand diapers because anytime we tried ones other than huggies my son would develop rash or allergic reaction. I must say I am glad I went ahead and tried the costco brand. I actually like the diapers better than huggies. They are absorbent, don't leak, and don't fall off. They are great at night too. My son wears the largest size they have. So I say go for it! I am sure you won't be disappointed.

I see you have gotten a lot of responses already and I did not read them, so this is probably a repeat of someones. Anyway, I use the Kirkland brand diapers for my daughter and love them. They are the same exact thing/quality as Huggies. I even think that they are made by the same manufacturer. I use Kirkland brand unless there is a coupon for Huggies which makes them a bit cheaper. Good luck.

I have no complaints about the Costco diapers. My son still wears size 4 to bed at night. When they first came out, I didn't like them but I think they may have improved on them. The box we bought this past weekend is even better (they are softer). I would bet they are probably Huggies in disguise.

are you SURE they are cheaper? At my costco, the Box is cheaper, but there are fewer diapers and the per diaper cost works out that the Huggies are actually cheaper. I've used both, as the Kirkland WAS cheaper back with my daughter, they worked just fine, didn't notice much difference between the two. The huggies just seem a little more stretchy all arouund, but both worked fine!

THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!! I have been using them for awhile now an I have only had one leak. I used to use Huggies as well and I had a few leak problems with those too. It is inevitable that with any diaper you are going to get a leak. They are very good diapers and it is nice that they are nice to the pocket book. I don't know if you are using the wipes too but they are pretty goo too. You can't beat the price on those either!! Hope this helps!!

I tried them- just as good as Huggies. I am currently using Huggies cus I can get them at Costco and the per diaper price is slightly cheaper than the Costco brand's price. Your Costco might have better prices. Either product is good- I'd say purchase whichever one gives you the biggest bang for your money.

Costco uses other manufacturers to make Kirkland products and then puts the Kirkland label on them. I'm pretty sure Costco diapers are made by Kimberly-Clark--the same compnay that makes Huggies. So you are basically buying huggies at the Costco price.

I've used both but there are less diapers in the Kirkland diapers boxes so I just have stuck with Huggies since the cost per diaper is like 1 cent more? I can't remember but it's close. Either way the Kirkland diapers are nice too, my sister and sister-in-law both use them. I bought them once too and they work well. Remember that this month there is a coupon for $8 off if you buy a box of Huggies diapers and a box of Huggies wipes. I always like those deals so check your coupons! :)

I just looked it up on costco.com The Kirkland's are $4 off with the coupon right now and the Huggies are $8. The prices jumped since I bought them there last. Before the coupons s now it's $45.99 (for 184 size 4- 24.99 cents) for kirkland and %51.99 for 200 size 4 huggies - 25.99 cents). So this month buy Huggies and Kirkland's if you have the coupons and save yourself some money (maybe in two different sizes?) :)

All in all...Kirkland has good diapers too! :)

For us, Huggies leak. Kirkland doesn't. We love Kirkland, so very worth the big box.
Good luck

Are you sure they are cheaper. My baby is in size 3 and they are the same price per unit. The pack is different though!!!

Absolutely no problems with Kirkland diapers. It makes me so mad that diapers are so expensive. Also, you can get coupons from Costco for discounts on huggies from time to time. Then, I mix and match!

hello, I have always used huggies. we were going through some hardship so we tried the costco brand for the same reason, and my baby end up with a severe diaper rash. Her bottom got so red and her skin broke. i love costco that's our home away from home =P but it wasn't worth it, i had to throw the diapers away and end up buying huggies and going to the doctor for antibiotic. i have heard that it's the same as huggies, but it didn't work for us. good luck!

I did not like them. I was given Luv's at my shower and I love them. They are cheaper than some of the other brands and actually better! good luck

I watch my nephew, and he wears them. They are ok. I don't think they hold "things" as well. I use the pampers cruisers. They have the mesh which keeps a little away from their tushies.
If I was in finacial difficulties, I would use the Kirkland brand.
