Anyone Try Acai Supplements?

Hi ladies. I was wondering if anyone has tried the acai supplements? I've heard that it's good for energy, lots of good antioxidants, and some claim to help with weight loss. I'd love some extra help like that if the claims are true! I've reached a plateau in my weight loss. I know how to eat (I'm diabetic). I work out twice a week and walk my dogs every night. But I don't get enough sleep. So if you've had good results with a certain brand of acai, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Hi,

I have been on Mona Vie for about 18 months and just can't say enough good about it. I have so much more energy and do not crave the sweets that I used to. I know many folks that have benefited fron "the juice". I am a distributor and this month we are offering free sign up. So if you are interested in trying it let me know. I can sign you up free just for ordering 1 case of juice. A savings of $39.

Another happy wife and Mom,
J.

Hello...I've not tried the product, but I thought about for a while. What ever you decide to do, just don't order it online - try to find it in a store. There are hundreds of credit card scams with this stuff so be really careful when chosing a product. I hope you find something that works....let me know b/c I'm going through the same thing!! I've been using www.sparkpeople.com to manage my weight. They have great articles, nutrition and fitness logs & message boards. You make your own page, like myspace for people who want to lose weight. It's actually the only thing that's helped me - look me up if you decide to give it a try (it's completely FREE!):

God Bless!

I agree with Sherry. The Acai Berry is awesome but I am not sure that the pills are as good as the MonaVie or the chocolates. When taking pills, most of it is passed through your system and not actually digested into your bloodstream. I have not had the Chocolates but I am a distributor of MonaVie and have seen it work wonders on people. Has Sherry has said, I know a lady who was able to stop the pain and meds for fibormialgia by drinking MonaVie. I also have seen it work wonders on others with medical conditions. The MonaVie has 18 berries in it including the Acai berry so as you can imagine the amount of antioxidents is tremendous. As for weight loss, I do believe that you can lose 10-15 pounds as it cleanses your system on a daily basis and I can see it keeping your from craving sugar. You will also have more energy. But if you are looking for it to help you lose 30 or more pounds, I am not sure that you will see that outcome. Not even from the Acai pills. To find out more info on MonaVie, go to monavie.com. If you are interested, please shoot me an email and we can talk. Good Luck!

I am a huge fan of acai and my favorite, though way too expensive, form of it is in Xocai chocolates where it's combined with a good version of cocoa which has really more antioxidants in it than in the acai, so you get a good double dose of what your body needs, plus the Xocai is delicious. I ate those for a little less than a year and had been getting bronchitis two or three times a year up to that point, but haven't had it since eating the Xocai and even though I've not been able to afford the Xocai for the past 1+ years, I still have been healthier than anytime in my life and I attribute this to having had those several months of the acai and cocoa. I am convinced it built up my immune system and even this late, I am still reaping the benefits of having done that. I haven't tried the supplemental capsules of the acai, and frankly did not realize those were available. I recently bought some juice at the grocery that has acai, but haven't tried it yet. I cannot say enough good things about acai. In my opinion, it's a miracle worker! MonaVie is also a good source, but I just preferred the Xocai because it was healthy chocolate and I love chocolate. By the way, I lost a good ten pounds just eating the Xocai and I found after about a month of eating the Xocai, I no longer craved sugar, so this led to losing a little more weight, as well. I don't know if the other acai products do that or not. Also on the Xocai, I no longer had fibromyalgia pain and was able to give up eating Motrin and Advil daily. Just from telling you this, I've decided I'm going to get back on that good stuff!

I'm not sure, but I think Monavie is the best source of acai. It's expensive, but I think all acai supplements are. Monavie is acai, not acai extract, dried acai or a supplement that removes vitamins from the fruit. It is the actual pulverized fruit along with 18 or so other fruits. The result is that you get the benefit of the whole fruit. When you take vitamin supplements, the vitamin is removed from the food, and you don't get the whole benefit of the vitamin that way. I don't sell it, but my mom does. If you're interested, email me @ ____@____.com.

My Sister in law sent me some Monavie and I love it! I'm not sure I'm the best judge, though, since I just had a baby and am breast feeding. On the days when I remember to take it (and it tastes good), I feel like I've got a little more energy. My husband likes it as well. I much prefer the Monavie to taking a vitamin everyday. I can give you her contact info if you are interested in this particular brand.

In the past I have tried Acai juice and supplements. I really liked the idea of them but then I learned that most of what you put in actually comes right back out. The benefits of this powerful fruit are worthless if nothing is absorbed. I actually decided to use vitamins and found a company that has the most amazing vitamins that actually are soluble. (After doing research I found that less than 40% of the top vitamins like GNC are absorbed, basically I was flushing a lot of money down the toilet!) Ever since I began taking them I have found that I have loads more energy than I ever have in the past! Here is a link to request more info! Good Luck! http://www.gogreenwebcast.com/profit4moms
