Anyone Know How to Change Eyebrow Color?

I also saw the What Not to Wear Episode....I had dark eyebrows and blond hair, so I bleached my eyebrows using Jolen (sp?) facial bleach. It comes in a greenish box, you can buy it at Walgreens, it has been around forever, great stuff. I also left it on for about three minutes to start, but sometimes, since my eyebrows were quite dark, needed a bit more time. As I have gotten older and had a couple of kids, my eyebrows have gotten lighter, so I don't bleach anymore, but this method worked for me!

I have the opposite problem. My eyebrows are too light compared to my hair so I had them dyed at the salon and regretted it!!! I looked like a clown with painted-on eyebrows. So to make the eyebrows less noticeable looking, I tweezed them down into thinner lines to make them less stark. This has really helped the overall appearance of my face.

So, based on that, I'd recommend at least considering an eyebrow waxing session at the salon (or tweeze yourself), BEFORE deciding to color them.

Your eyebrows are that color for a reason. You may think they are too dark but they're probably just about right.

my daughter is a hair stylist and she colors mine when she colors my hair. I would be careful using the bleach at home like suggested, it only takes a drop in the eye to cause some big problems so if you decide to try this, enlist a friends help so you can protect your eyes.

D. I can help. I have red hair but my brows are also dark. I was watching What Not To Wear on TLC and the make-up chick said to use facial hair bleach. I use Sally Hansen brand facial cream bleach. I have been doing this for about 3 years with no problems. I use it about once a month and it is easy, you mix a cream w/ a powder that activates the bleach. I know at Target these supplies are by the nair and waxes. Good luck in your quest.

some salons do offer eyebrow coloring. not all offer this service, therefore you would need to call to find out which ones will.

I've also used the facial bleach on eyebrows. Just be EXTREMELY careful not to get it in your eyes and also check frequently so they don't get too light. Shouldn't take too long since you don't want to go all the way blonde, just a shade or two.

What I have done before is take facial bleach and put that on your eyebrows to lighten them. Just make sure to watch them pretty closely while the bleach is on so you don't lighten them to much. I was always told that your eyebrows should be a shade darker than your hair color. I believe I just used the Sally Hansen brand of facial bleach. Hope this helps!

When I would get my hair died at the salon, my hairstylist would reserve a little bit of my haircolor for eyebrows. I had to do apply it myself with a q-tip and I applied vaseline around the edge of my brows so the color only stuck to where I wanted it and not stain my face, it worked to lighten up my brows a little bit to match my hair.

I just found a site exactly how I did it, but I would take it off in 10 minutes not 15.

The suggestions about using facial bleach are great! I would rec leaving it on for about 3 min. If they aren't light enough you can always reapply. You just don't want them too light because they will lift to an orangey color. The mixture should be thick enough so you won't have to worry about it dripping into your eye. Good Luck!
