Yes. First of all...I would not recommend Barbizon. From what I have heard they are a modeling school who are only interested in taking your money and getting your child excited about something that may never happen.

If you are serious...and I mean serious. The first place you should begin is JC Penney or Neiman Marcus. Find out if they need any children for catalogs or fashion shows. I have 3 friends whose children model for JC Penney. This is a good start, to see if your child really enjoys it and to give them some exposure and experience.

Next step is go to Kim Dawson or Peggy Taylor Agency. Both do talent and modeling, although Kim Dawson has more experience in Modeling. They will set you up with a photographer for a photo shoot because you'll need to begin your child's portfolio. Note that this can get expensive. But, if you're serious about it, it's an investment. Kim Dawson also has modeling and talent classes.

Hi,
I am actually trying to get my daughter into modeling and or acting in DFW. Your child will more than likely have to be with an agency since Dallas is a catalog market. I would also say try the malls to see if they still do fashion shows and see what age groups this would be good practice in front of crowd. We took my daughter to an open call and found that she was not quite as comfortable as we thought and is a little shy in some cases.
Campbell Agency is also another good talent representative you can visit there website I can't think of the address at this time.
For working on there portfolio in case you wanted something to have them get a good start with that won't break your pocket book check out www.talcampbell.com he is a photographer that has really good work and is running a special (as of last email I received) for part of his reallycoolkids.com site

Hope this helps and good luck
