Anyone Have an Iphone 4? or Had an Iphone and Now Has an Android?

I have a 3g and my contract will expire soon. I would like to upgrade to the 4 but someone who had it recently told me to stick with what I have. He said that he gets ALOT of dropped calls sometimes having to call people back 5 times. He said that even with the bumper he has to call back 3 times, so it's only slightly better. If it really sucks that much I'm also willing to consider the Android but I don't know how it is compared to iphone. I know people who have the Droid Incredible and Evo and they love it but they also never had an iphone. Any advice or recommendations?

What can I do next?

My husband recently switched from an iphone to the Evo 4 g. He is a geek and actually worked in the industry for a while. Just this weekend we were talking to friends about the pros and cons of each. While he likes the Evo he really thinks (in his opinion having had both recently) that the iphone is a better phone. He really just wanted the new phone to play with it and see if it would really link to his ipad, which it does.

My husband has had the iphone4 for a little over a month now. We got that when my phone died and he gave me his 3GS. He uses it a lot for work so it made sense for him to get the 4 and me his old one. He has had no problems with dropped calls and does not have the bumper. It just might depend where you are as far as dropped calls go. Good luck!

Both myself and my husband upgraded to the iphone 4. We both love them. I have a bumper, my husband does not. Neither of us have issues with dropped calls. Couldn't be happier!

Might want to look at a different carrier for starters. AT&T is expensive and most people that have it ONLY have it because its the only carrier (AT THE MOMENT) that carries the iPhone. Take a look at Sprint and the Evo....or there is a new Android phone that is coming out in October that is the replacement for the Samsung Moment (which I have). I love my android. We have two of the same models and the price on sprint cannot be beat for full plans w/ internet or family plans.

I'm an avid Apple lover, but I won't pay for AT&T nor deal with their service just for the iPhone (when the Android is soooo similar and in many ways, better).

my brother has an iphone4 and i have the evo. we have both used each other's phones for calls and just to play around on them. honestly, there is not a huge difference in the phones. i love my evo and i would totally recommend it if you are looking to switch, but quality of calls is also going to depend on where you live and which service provider serves your area better. good luck deciding!

Hubby and I have the iphone 4. We have not had any problems with dropped calls. The Apple store said it was left handed people who had problems with dropped calls. It was the way the phone is held and covering the antenna. I love my iphone. I switched from a Blackberry and could not be happier.

My husband just got the Galaxy and likes it better than his IPhone...not a dropped call in over two weeks.
Good Luck with your search!

I have the Motorola Backflip (Droid) and I love it. I have never had an iPhone though, so I don't know the difference.

I went with the Droid Ally and I can do everything I need to do with no dropped calls. Verizon has much better service than AT&T. If you're not an IT person, you really don't need the iphone, it just has better advertising. Compare prices and see what services and extras you get with each, but consider that Verizon's network in most areas is much better.

I too have the iPhone 4 and have no problem with dropped calls. I never had one of the others but if you're happy with iPhone I'd say stay with it.
At first I heard of folks having trouble, but those same people have said it's fine now. I'm very happy with mine,
