Any Use Walgreens Brand of Diapers on Their Infant?

I was wondering if anyone has used Walgreens brand of diapers on their infants. I have 6 month old that so far seems okay with any brand of diaper we use. Most of the time we use Pampers or Huggies, whichever I have the best coupon for. We've tried Wal-Marts White Cloud but he just leaked of those before he was on solids. I haven't tried them again. Walgreens has their brand of diapers on sale this week, 2 for $9.00. There packs are 40 each.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the advice on the Walgreens diapers. I think I am going to try them. Seems like more of you like the one in the red package which must me the Huggies brand for Walgreens. I hope they work for my son because we could use the cut in price on diapers and Walgreens is 1 min. from out house.

Two things, I learned. First, I work at Walgreens, so I always bought diapers at Walgreens.

1. Walgreens always has the best prices on Diapers. It does not matter what brand, just watch the sales. With coupons and sales, you can even get Huggies and Pampers at a very reasonable price.

2. Walgreens brand that is similar to Huggies are very good. Not quite as soft but very absorbent. I did not like, nor could my daughter wear other store brands. So, by all means, yes, try Walgreens brand diapers.

I've recently started using Walgreens diapers when I found out how cheap they are. They work just fine. I am pregnant with my 2nd and I hope to become a SAHM so I have totally stocked up on walgreens diapers. You can actually get them for $2.50. Right now there is a coupon brochure back in the pharmacy. You have to ask them for it. It has a picture of the Walgreens entrance on the front. It has a coupon in it for $2 off any pack of walgreens diapers. It says it is only good for 1 but if you buy more and use it it will take off $2 for each pack. So if you buy 6 packs it would take off $12. No kidding. I've done this a bunch but I have no more room so I had to cool it for a while. You might have to try several Walgreens because when I asked for it at a few walgreens they had no idea what I was talking about. It expires in June I think and they don't take it from you so you can use it over and over.
HTH!

Walgreen's will back their products, so you can return them if you don't like them. I have always used their soft pack of wipes for our diaper bag & travel. Also, don't forget that COSTCO makes great diapers (& formula) VERY cheap.

i used to love pampers too (still do actually!) but as they say in the commercial, "get real", i can't afford that! so after a couple months i moved to huggies, then luvs...the name brands were the best but eventually i had to 'really' get real, and switch to store brands. i haven't tried walgreens but thanks for the tip - i have found that the target ones are better than walmart's. i try to get target as often as i can, but walmart is so much closer and more convenient! will be checking out walgreen's!

C.,

I am a mom of 7. I have tried every diaper known to man. Currently I am using the Walgreens brand. Right now I have 3 in diapers. So, when they go on sale like they do it is a great deal. I originally bought them from someone off craigslist when I was pregnant with my 7th and have been using them ever since. I honestly have had no problems with them. I am on my way today to restock up yet again due to the sale. Your right, they are 2/9.00 is an awesome deal. I mean it just makes good since to pay less especially since they work and you just throw them away. Walgreens runs their sale quite a bit. So you should never pay full price for them. One of their sales isn't as good as this one. Sometimes they run it buy one get one 1/2 off. Which would make 2 packs around $13.25 which is a couple dollars more a pack than the sale now. So yes, now is the time to buy and stock up for awhile. I will easily buy 25 packs today just to make sure I have some until the next sale. Remember, I am buying for three though. Even at that, me spending a $100 for that many diapers I am in the plus.

Hope that helps.

Oh, just want to mention another thing, don't let people tell you that if you are using a specific brand formula that you have to stick with it. I have learned after all these years that it is all the same, unless it is a specific type like soy.

What I mean is that Walgreens brand formula is cheaper and goes on sale all the time for the large cans. I can get 2-3 large cans for the normal cost of one can of say Enfamil. Whether it is Enfamil you may be using or Similac it doesn't matter. I asked the last time I was in the hospital about formula to the nurse. I said, why do you give a specific type of formula to a baby. She said, it just depends which brand we grab off the shelf. There is no difference between Similac or Enfamil, just the name brand. I was stunned. After all of my kids and being brand loyal. What a racket. So if you are not breastfeeding or want to supplement, try the Walgreens formula as well. I didn't look to see if it was on sale this week, but like the diapers, it goes on sale alot.

Take care,

I find the Walgreens brand of huggies is just fine. I agree about the walmart ones though. My son leaked right through those too. I like the walgreens ones - the red package, think it says Supreme on it. Anyway, yes, they are great! Especially for the price! :)

I've used them before. I didn't mind them, but my husband didn't like them. I think it's because my son needs the biggest size (he still wears diapers at night) and they run a little small. But, he has never leaked with them and he wets quite a bit at night. If they fit him better (had a bigger size), then I'd probably still buy them.

I have never used Walgreens diapers before; however, I tried nearly every other brand with my four boys. Huggies, Pampers, and Luvs were the best by far! Keep cutting those coupons!

I have used the Target brand diapers for both of my children. They go up to a size six and they have anywhere from 100 to about 72 diapers in each box depending on the size. They cost about $14.00 a box and I have never had any problems even with the overnites. And for a bonus sometimes target even has coupons for them!!

WAIT! I can help you save money on diapers (and LOTS of other stuff!), and not just store brand! A few weeks ago, I got 7 packages of diapers (3 Huggies and 4 Walgreens) for $15!!! That's 210 diapers.....at SEVEN CENTS a piece!!

This week since Walgreen's diapers are that price (2/$9), you need to ask about their perscription plan at the pharmacy. You do not have to get the plan, but by inquiring about it, they will give you (you may have to ask for this as well) a red trifold $50 Savings Booklet with a picture of Walgreens on the front. There is a coupon in it for $2 off store brand diapers (good until 6/30/09) and all you have to do is let cashier scan THAT COUPON (like in their weekly ad) and you can use it OVER and OVER and OVER!!! The coupon will take $2 off BOTH packages!!!! This makes the price 2 for $5.00!! Hurry before the sale is over!!

I give workshops on how to find great deals like this one and how to shop smarter and save a BUNDLE on your budget. I have a public workshop scheduled for Monday April 20 in Grain Valley, MO. Anyone can email me if interested. You can come to this one, set up your own workshop, or find out when more are being held.
