Any Referrals for an OB/GYN Affiliated with Silver Cross Hospital?

I switched OB's after my second boy....we think problems with the old OB and performing the circumcision. I was recommended Dr. francisco Garcini out of Frankfrt/Joliet. He is affiliated with Silver Cross. My Peds nurse was his scrub nurse and she has wonderful things to say about him. It was weird switching. I'm pretty high strung anyway, and my 3rd was a surprise. Anyway..he was great. He doesn't normally do 1st trimester ultrasound butI explained had them with my first could I??? and he wrote me a Rx to get it done. Then for the 20/24wk ultrasound he OK'd for me to get it done as a 3-D one. He was so empathetic, and a good listener..... This was also my first time going to a man OB and after the first visit I was not bothered by that fact. Following the delivery I was sad to no longer have weekly visits to see his nurses and him. One other thing...I dragged my kids to every appointment (no babysitter) and the staff were very nice about it. Good luck with your search and congrats on being a first time mom!!! I love Dr. Umpai, in case you are looking for a woman doctor...she is absolutely wonderful!!!! She delivered 3 of my 4 children and she always asks about each of them when I visit her for my yearly check up. I just can't say enough wonderful things about her. Her office is on Essington Road.

HI I work with a lot of these MDs (i'm a rn) and LOVE Dr Borders and Dr Garcini. Both are fabulous and have wonderful bedside manners. A lot of nurses that work with them also go to them as well which should tell you how great they are. Congrats and good luck!
