Sign up online for e-mail deal notification, but I think that is the best there is. Maybe if you get the catalogues there is a code on there?
They only have certain ones every year. The ones for this year have all expired. The next one should come in the spring sometime in time for Easter. The coupon It's only for free shipping. Next year on cyber Monday they have a 50% sale on certain items. Look out for that.
Discounts, sales and coupons for AG dolls have come up on Mamapedia several times in recent weeks. AG just does not discount or do coupons on the dolls -- ever. They sometimes do have deals on free shipping, for instance, but the dolls themselves never go on sale. AG knows that it can ask what it wants and people will pay it, so they don't do sales or discounts. I believe that VERY occasionally they may have reduced a price on one of the miniature historical dolls but that is it.
Your other options are: Get a knockoff (search Mamapedia for discussions on this in the past month or so); or get a real AG doll but save money by getting clothes online from other makers (there are a lot of small businesses where people make clothes to fit AG dolls). I think the dolls are high quality (and are not for small kids!) so worth it but we don't buy the furniture/accessories and get some clothes from AG and some from other makers. But if you hear of coupons for dolls...it's a myth!
