A Really TMI Question? (Tracking CM)

Okay I know this is really gross but I need to ask. When you are tracking your CM for ovulation and TTC purposes how in the heck to you tell the difference in actual CM and the remainder of your mans army (if you get my drift)? I seem to be having the craziest cycles with one at 28 days, then 31, 46, and so far waiting and at 43 days so trying to assume or determine as per my schedule is useless.
Thank you for any advice

What can I do next?

Usually when you start to ovulate, you will notice more secretion than usual, but just a little wetness. Then it will get kind of tacky, when the secretions increase and become sort of like egg white consistency, that is go time ;) Usually if you have sex on this day or the day before or after you should be good to go unless you don't release an egg which is not too common. With my second I saw that and told my hubby if he wanted to make a baby, we were a go, I had my second son 9 months later :D With my third I thought we were far enough from this day and well...I am 18 weeks prego. So if you see that, that is the tell tale sign usually!

What you're looking for has a different consistency than seminal fluid. It's mucus, like when your kid has a runny nose. Sticky and stretchy.Try checking it before you and hubby go at it.

I had strange cycles too. I used the ovulation sticks they sell at the drugstore. After a couple of months I had a good idea of how many days after my period I would ovulate. Even though my cycle was crazy, I ovulated about the same many days later each time. (I don't know if that's true for all women though). Good luck to you.

You can track ovulation by tracking your temperature.

Supposedly, you should have "the men in the water" before ovulation to increase your chance for a son. Just going by the presence of mucous may not be the best timing indicator.

That's an easy answer. Abstain until you see it, then go for it. My CM was as obvious as the sun is yellow. Worked for us twice on the first try. If you are truly TTC, then you should not be having sex every day. Save up his "army" for when it counts!!!
