I have been researching at home employment and came across companies like ____@____.com, ACD Direct and HSN. Has anyone ever actually tried these companies? Some offer paid training (computer based) and I just wonder is it worth the time and can you really earn a good part-time salary.

What can I do next?

Hello Tamara,

I also live in the North Fort Worth area. I currently work from home so that I can stay at home with our 2 year old daughter. I absolutely love it. I have recently converted our house to 'Green' so that means we are in a much more safer home. I have a couple of opportunties for you to work from home. Check out my websites to see what might fit your needs.

I believe that these companies you would be doing customer service phone work. I looked into West and was told that I would be paid by the minute and would need a quiet background. With my 3 active little boys that would just not work! Plus the hourly wage was just not enough to make it worth my time. I wanted something more and found it. I would be happy to share what I do from home with you! :)

I have heard really good things about them. I worked for a very similar company and really enjoyed it. Check out www.wahm.com/forum they have folders devoted to west and many others so you can get actual feedback from current and former employees. Good luck

I did really well with Alpine Access, the hard part is getting cooperation at home from DH to help you out while you work. AA had an hourly pay rate not just talk time so be sure to check that out.
