Hi...we are already looking into idea's for our son's 3rd birthday. He does n't turn 3 until the end of March. We have no family in the country, so we'd need something that was easy to put together and preferably on a Friday evening. I have not heard to many good things about Gymboree, but can make my own decisions with a little in put. Have done some research and come up with Congo River and Golf in Altamonte (we live in Longwood), has anyone got any reviews for this? Any idea's appreciated, all considered.
Many thanks. Oops forgot to mention not too expensive, I'd rather put the money in his bank than spend $200 plus on a party...thanks Mums.

What can I do next?

We have been doing one of my boys' b-day parties @ Chuck E. Cheese! he loved them. Actually his 3rd one was back in Dec and he had so much fun. Friday I think its cheaper, find out. I did it online the reservation...no problems! There is one in Altamonte Springs actually next i think of Congo River! What I did was brought goodie bags (simple) and a cake that my friend did. Also, if you have a membership w/Sams, BJS or any other you can get a cake like for 30 people for like $20. This last time I had I think 8 kids paid and ordered I think 3 pizzas (for adults) and drinks extra and in total was like $120 including the $30 you have to leave as a deposit when do it online.

There the people where extra nice, discounted lots of things, and I brought coupons I got online and it included lots of coins for everyone to play. The birthday is 90 minutes you don't have to do anything and afterwards they all went to play. Just to let you know in my case the days I wanted both years were full in the one in Altamonte Springs so I did it in Waterford Lakes in East Orlando.

Whatever you do, I hope your son has lots of fun!!!

We used A Kid's Gym in Oviedo for my son's 4th birthday. We've gone to parties at others too, but I felt this was the best one. www.akidsgym.com

I like it better than Monkey Joe's because the staff actually coordinates the food and activities with the kids. Also, your party is the only one there with only a possibility of an overlap with another the first half hour or last half hour. But even if there is an overlap, they would be in another section during that time. It's a huge gym, and they had a bounce house and a bouncy obstacle course too.

I like it better than Gymboree because its more challenging for the kids. A Kid's Gym had a cargo net, ball pit, balance bars, slide.

Down side is that it is difficult to find as it is not on a main road and you can't see their sign from the main road. But I put maps in the invitation and everyone was able to find it.

Congo golf is ni, but for a three year old can be kind of frustrating and not a whole lot of fun. Have you looked at Monkey Joes? It is a huge room full of different inlatables. My four year old LOVES bounce houses, so we took him there and he had a blast. They ave relatively reasonble pricing as well.

We did Congo River I- Drive for my six year old boy's party and it was GREAT! However I think for smaller childern I would suggest I-Pez or Monkey Joes- bounce houses and games for the younger crowd. And they are worn out by the end of the event!!
