12 Weeks Prego and Slightly Nervous!

I'm 12 weeks going on 13 weeks and I've been feeling so good compared to the first 10 weeks! In fact, I'm not nauseous anymore, still a lil tired, but I'm can function like a normal person finally, smells and certain foods bother me, but I've been able to cook here and there. I'm wondering if there are other ladies out there that went from feeling completely awful to fantastic in just a matter of weeks? It makes me nervous that I feel soo good. It could be that I may be a little paranoid because I've miscarried my last 2 pregnancies and worry about that from time to time. My first pregnancy was picture perfect and the only thing I suffered from was dealing with smells and being tired. :)

What can I do next?

First off relax. Do not release extra endorphins into your body by being a nervous getty.... If everything formed right from conception then the pregnancy will progress. What you are describing actually is a textbook pregnancy. Your hormones shift and change when you hit 12 weeks and it use to be referenced as the "magic" time... Women would wake up and over-night feel like a new woman. So, not a sign of miscarriage but of hormone switches. This is the reason we tell women that once they hit the 12 week milestone to celebrate. So instead of worrying; 'freakin A'; celebrate. It will not last long. The feelings of discomfort (just in other ways as your body grows) will be here before you know it. Congratulations.

Yep! Happened to me closer to 14 weeks with kiddo #1 and #3 (currently prego with #3). I never even got nauseous with #2 (a fluke I am thinking- ha!). It is nice to get back to normal! Best wishes!

I was this way with my 3rd pregnancy. My poor kids didnt get a home cooked meal im those first few weeks. Then I hit my 2nd tri and everything was much better.

call your dr tho and express your concerns. Its why they are there - to help you out.

Congrats!

The first time I was pregnant I had a miscarriage too. I basically was tired and nauseous from certain smells too and had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. When I was pregnant with my son when I hit about 14 weeks, I felt a lot better just like you are talking about. You are going from your first trimester to your second trimester. You are doing well and it seems like things are going well. Do not worry. Be happy and enjouy your pregnancy now.

Welcome to entering the 2nd trimester :) Awesome that you are feeling better...i was all of 14 weeks when I got back to normal. While the fatigue never went away, I felt like you did...Sounds like you're doing great. make sure to share your concerns with your doctor. If you are a little fearful it won't hurt to make an extra appointment with your OB and see their assistant just to do a heartbeat check...Nothing was more reassuring then when they used the dopler to check the heartbeat :)
