Hardwood Flooring Help Needed

Does anyone know how to spruce up hardwood flooring, or how to remove paint without having to resurface them? Last year I decided to pull up carpeting because I knew there was gorgeous hardwood flooring underneath and I was tired of vaccumming and cleaning up after my daughter everyday. Well, someone, at one time, decided to try and paint the flooring..sooo...there are huge paint marks up and down the hall, as well as the dining/living area. Does anyone have any suggestions?
