Okay i am 4 months pregnant and for the past few months it seems like i keep getting a yeast infection one after another. I just got over one a week ago and took the 3 day yeast medicine and it seems like i may be getting another one. Is this a yeast infection or could it be some other infection? i have the white discharge and it sometimes irritates me and itches. I had probably 3 yeast infections total with my daughter and i think this may be number 4 already. I go to my doctor next friday and plan on asking her.

What can I do next?

When we are pregnant our whole chemistry of our body changes. It could be possible that the medicine you used was not strong enough or maybe three days was not long enough. I had a yeast infection when I was pregnant that went on forever and I could not get rid of it. I mentioned it to the doctor when I went in and he gave me the pill and I took it for the prescribed time and got rid of it completely.

Perfectly normal, I got several while I was pregnant too, though you should check with your dr about prescriptions that you can take that are safe while pregnant. You might want to do that screening over the counter test to make sure it is a yeast infection. With all the hormones changing in your body and especially down there, you tend to get more yeast build up and that can irritate some women.

It could be something else but I doubt it. There are sexually transmitted diseases with those symptoms but I bet it is a yeast infection. Not sure why you keep getting them but sometimes your body produces more yeast. Just ask next week, good luck and congrats!

I would definetly talk to the dr. It could be something else altogether or a symptom of something.

I am 4 months pregnant too and got the beginning of a yeast infection when I was a month and a half along. Well I ended up getting a product called multidophilous by Solary at a health food store. It's kept in the frig and is the healthy kind of bacteria that keeps you from getting yeast infections. It is totally safe and recommended by Doctor Sears for pregnant women. I got it for a little over $17 and you just mix an 1/8 teaspoon in applesauce or yogurt once a day. Has worked wonderful for me!!!

happend to me..that was jus discharge..NOT a yeast infection..I discharged my whole pregnancy to the point i had to wear a liner all the time...as long as its not uncomfortable, dont worry about it..

Were you prescribed the stuff you've been taking? I was told Monistat isn't safe during pregnancy (I used it once without checking with the doc, and was told that after the fact).
It could just be discharge, but they can do a test to see if it's a yeast infection. Also, if you think you've got one while pregnant, they should be able to get you in ASAP if you call since it's a bigger issue for pregnant ladies.
