Would like to Find a Good Church Home in Central Colorado Springs

Hello I am a mom of a 3 year old daughter and pregnant with a little boy due in July. I am married, but my husband does not share in my spiritual journey. I am in desperate need of finding a good church home that is somewhat near my home (unfortuneately all the best churches seem to be way north of me which is a little too far to travel). I have tried to "go it alone" without the help of a church family, but I am finding that I am lost and I am "thirsting" for that connection. I am not limiting myself to any specific religion as I know God will direct me to the right place with a little help. Can anyone tell me of any good churches? I would prefer a smaller church or if a large church is recommended I would rather that it is not one in which no one knows anyone including their own pastor. Thank you so much for your help

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

I attend a smaller church in central colorado springs (right next to Citadel Mall). I live in Fountain but the drive is so worth it for me. Circle Drive Baptist Church is a great place to call my spiritual home. www.cdbc.org. I have been attending since June of last year. I have bounced around to a lot of different churches in the springs and this is the only church were I truly felt welcomed and loved and I actually have a drive to volunteer there. It's a smaller church. There are two worship services one at 945 and another at 1105, there is also an evening service at 6pm. I usually attend the 1105 (contemporary) service and also attend the Wednesday night prayer meeting at 630pm. I am also in my twenties and married. My husband also doesn't share my beliefs. He has been really hurt by religion in the past.

Yes, Circle Drive is a baptist church but I do not consider myself a baptist just a follower of Jesus. Circle Drive also has a very large and supportive military ministry. I would love to invite you to attend this Sunday. Pastor Mike is doing a great message series right now about fear. If the 1105 am service is good for you, I would love to meet you at the door. I have two children as well. One is 5 and the other just turned 2. My 5 year old absolutely loves childrens church.

Please PM me and let me know if you are interested. Again, I would love to meet you this Sunday. :)

I would invite you to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You can find the building closest to you by going to www.mormon.org. Every place I have lived I have found an instant church family that has been so supportive. They also have an incredible women's organization as well. The church itself is a worldwide church, but each congregation ("ward") is a few hundred people so you're not lost in the crowd.

I have attended a variety of different churches, and I have found everything I am looking for at the LDS church. I too know that God will lead you to the right place - give us a try in your quest.

I'd like to invite you to my church. It is Rustic Hills Baptist Church http://www.rhbconline.org/ Our website is in the process of being updated since it is so old, but all of our beliefs are clearly outlined and you can even read past sermons to see if this is the kind of church you are interested in. If you come for Sunday school, I would even be your daughter's teacher. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you there. And I'm sure the Lord will lead you where he wants you.

Hello J.! We attend Rock Family Church...they meet at Mr. Bigg's. We are in love with this church, Pastor Dean, and our church family. We have struggled for nine years to find a church that fits us and this one blew us away! The things that are said are completely relevant to our lives and we are challenged and inspired every time we go. It says something like that on their site and when I read it before I went to the first service, I had heard it before. Well...it was more than true at this church. This is the kind of church that makes you anticipate the next weeks' service as you're leaving from that service. We never liked getting up and going to church before...we just did it because we felt that it was the right thing to do. We would sit there and listen and think things like, "this is a long service". At Rock Family Church it's sad when it's over because you really do want to hear more, which makes you seek more throughout the week. My husband tells everyone how much he loves this church which is not something he has ever said about any other church we've been to. Seriously, that is a big deal for him to be excited and hooked like this. You can go to rockfamilychurch.com and look around. Look at EVERYTHING. There are TONS of things to do and lots of ways to get connected. If you want to go and you don't want to "go alone" let me know and we'll meet you at whatever service you want to attend. We can help get your daughter into her class and comfortable. She would be with my daughter, who is also 3. You can totally sit with our family. Our older kids (6 and 8) get to stay with us for singing and then they go to their class. After class we get to "play" with a free play pass for an hour so that's really fun for our kids. We don't do it every week but it's great that we have the option to spend some extra time there if we want to. Anyhow...ask me anything you want! I'll send you my number in a private message if you want to call! Also...this is an invitation to ANYONE who reads this and wants to join us! Just check out the website for all the info or contact me through here! Hope to see you and your family, J.!

My family and I have finally stopped our church hunt. About a month ago we found and incredible church. It is a fairly new church and pretty small, as we are still growing. The pastor is very enthusiastic, knows everyones name and even does house call bible studies. He is very passionate about God. He does not teach religion..but Kingdom. Everything is straight out of the Bible without any of those materialistic and personality judgements. He definitly has a calling from God and has changed my life something fierce in the last month..and I didnt used to be a believer!! The name of the church is Life Church (not New Life) and is located off PLatte and Circle. Please contact me if you would like to go for a visit. The church website isnt finished yet, but you could look up Pastor Houseworth on google...those are his old days of evangelising. Hope this helps and God Bless you on your journey!!

J.,

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (mormon) is the church I have belonged to all my life. Even though the LDS church is global, each ward is led by a local preisthood leader and the ward family is made up of poeple living near you. i've lived in three different states, and in everyone the church and church family have been a great strength to me and my family. Just look in the phone book for the chapel closest to you and try it out. If you would like, missionaries could come to your home and tell you more about the church and help you find the chapel and time best for you. if you are interested, just send me a message and i'll help you set up a meeting.

Before living in Colorado Springs, I had not attended church regularly since about age 14. But I found a church here that I truly enjoy and you are welcome to join me on any Sunday. I attend Holy Cross Lutheran on Murray and Constitution. It is an older more etsablshed chutch, but filled with lots of truly welcoming families, too. There are three services, each with its own vibe, but I attend the 11:00 service since is more contemporary with amazing praise music. There are so many acitivites and options for involvement for kids and there is a really awesome nursery staff, too, for kids under age 3.

If you want to chat first, call me at ###-###-#### or email me at ____@____.com a great week! E.
