All of these are great! I just got a new iPod and am putting some good running songs on there, too. I like Machinehead by Bush, What a Feeling (FLashdance) by Irene Cara, The Way I Are by Timbaland, Boys of Summer by Don Henley.

I also have a couple songs on mine that I didn't originally have in my running playlist that are great to run with. Embarrassing if anyone were to hear me listen to them, but great. One is 2 Legit 2 Quit by MC Hammer.

I am also big on 80s music, so the Flock of Seagulls works for me.
When I was training for the marathon, I had a whole list of songs on my walkman that I listened to that I loved. I can't remember them all, and wish I could! One was Enigma, the first song on the CD, I think.

So many options. I love the link that was suggested here to Fitness mag. Good luck!

I second Depeche Mode. Great for working out. I have it in my ipod. Also...this is going to sound crazy, but britney Spears music is great for cardio workouts. I never listened to her until we did a routine to a song at Jazzercise. Now I have a ton of her songs on my ipod. Good Luck!!

OK, funny that the one dad here chimes in first. HA.

I like the new Fergie stuff. Of course Madonna works. I'm an old school alternative guy so I'd maybe hunt down some old Depeche Mode or something like that.

Here's a list too:

GOOD LUCK!

At Costco, there is a CD set (3 in 1) that is called Cardio .....(can't remember the full name but there is a picture of someone working out on it). It is a ton of songs that are sped up to make them faster to work out to. They are great. It cost $15.

I love Eminem stuff while I'm running...it'll get you going...I'd die if my kids listened to it but it does the trick for a good work out. I alternate it with softer stuff so I have periods of lower heart rate here and there. Justin Timberlake and country stuff is good for that.

The 5150 CD by Van Halen

I love my 80's rock and pop, but must confess my daughters Hannah Montana, High School Musical is good too. Plus I LOVE Blake Lewis (from Amer Idol last year) his new CD is awesome!
