I am a stay at home mom of 2 and would very much like to find something that I can do at home to make some extra money. I have done several of the home parties (PartyLite, Stampin' Up!, Tastefully Simple), but would like to find something else. I would really like to find something flexible that I can work around my kids and my husband's schedule. I have looked into a few things, but haven't found anything legitimate. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Hi L.,

I understand your situation. While I never did any of those party things because I didn't like all that was involved, I know how difficult it can be to find something worth while and legitimate.

I currently work from home setting up customer accounts. It fell into my lap while I wasn't looking, so it truly was a blessing from God but I also have discovered how much I love what I do.

If you have good people skills and like helping others, I would love to talk to you about an opportunity that might fit you. It's totally flexible to your family's needs and you won't have to do all that stuff like before; no hostess gifts, order forms, billing, deliveries, inventory, investments, etc...

It may or may not be what you are looking for, but it might be worth it for us to chat. If you interested, send me a message and I will shoot you my contact information.

Best of luck to you!
T. S.

I babysit. That way, my kids have others to play with and I don't have to worry about going anywhere or what I'm going to do with my own kids. I also clean a few houses throughout the month as well, working around my hubby's days off.

I have been a SAHM for some time now and have tried many of the direct sales companies. There are only 2 businesses I have seen success with. One was Arbonne. I have actually made money with that company. The problem is, I am very bad about making the time to go out and introduce myself to the parts of my area who maybe haven't heard of Arbonne. I am also bad about doing home parties which are the best way to make money of course.

This past month though, I became a health coach. I am THRILLED beyond belief already! My husband has signed up as a client and has already lost about 25 lbs in less than a month plus his blood pressure (which has been scaring all of us including his doctors) is finally within normal levels!! I have already earned my first commission check! I love the thought of helping people lose weight and get healthy and for once, I see this as something that could really help me make a financial difference for our famly.

I will send you my websites in case you would like to look at them.

All my best,
L.

I've tried the direct sales type things, too, but they truly are a lot of work and not always a steady income (especially at first). I started babysitting part-time on a whim and love it. I found someone who only needed a babysitter from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This leaves my evenings open and I'm free on Thursdays (my errand day), Fridays (my husband's day off), Saturdays and Sundays. My son and the little girl I watch are the same age (one) so they have a playmate and are at the same stages with toys and stuff so it makes it pretty easy!

Definitely something to think about!

(PS, just FYI in case you pursue this, I charge $30 a day since she is so little - diapers, bottles, crying, etc. If she was older and more self-sufficient, I'd charge a little less. That's $360 a month under the table - more than I ever made doing direct sales and with none of the hassle!)

Dear L.,

You sound like me a few years ago. I also am a mom of 2 children. I too was looking for something on the up and up and am delighted at what I found 6 years ago ... a revolutionary product line called JuicePlus+. Have you heard of it?

My website has a 12 minute video on it which is www.vineripejuiceplus.com and a picture is worth a thousand words. And, we are known by the copy we keep as you will see on my website.

FYI, we are all about giving people a way to have the flexibility of still being available for their spouses and children as they grow up but also giving them a purpose that touches families in a very powerful way.

I don't know the kind of income you are looking for but certainly this business can provide a great deal of freedom and still let you hold to the strongest of families.

L., let' talk ... when would you have a few minutes?

For better health,
C.

My favorite way to work from home is caring for other peoples little ones. My kids LOVE it because there is always someone to play with at the house. I set my own hours and just work part-time by watching other children. I advertise on craigslist so it is free advertising and I always get lots of calls even for part-time care. A lot of parents need someone only one or two days a week so it is greatly appreciated by them as well. It is so much fun to have a job that literally lets you bring joy and fun into so many kids lives and get paid while doing it! Best of luck in your search!

I am currently a manager with Tupperware. While I'm not trying to recruit you (unless you want to be recruited!), I will say that we can only get out of our direct sales business what we put into it. It's not very often that people come knocking on our doors asking to have a party, but there is definitely money to be made by working it consistently. I love, love, love the flexibility I have and I love that my kids are usually with their dad/my husband while I'm "working". It's a win-win for everyone.
