Soo.. I like to eat what we call a "puke bowl"... Doesn't sound very appetizing at all, and is really not good for you, but it's actually quite tasty. To make it, you take a package of ramen noodles. Crunch it up really small, and add the flavor packet. Shake it up, and pour it into a bowl. Then you crunch up a handful of flavored pringles (I like to use the mexican layered dip flavor) and some cheesy sandwich crackers... throw in a handful of instant rice and mix it all up. put in a bunch of grated cheese too. Have any other crackers, chips, whatever laying around that might go well? crunch it up and toss it in too! Add some hot sauce... then you fill it to about 1 inch below the food line, stir it up so it's all wet and mixed together, and saran wrap the whole thing. Microwave it for 1 minute, then turn it upside down and let it sit for 3 more minutes. Sounds disgusting, but it's great!!! WHat "nasty" things do you like to eat that you can't even get other people to try? :)

When I was 10 yrs old my friend's grandmother made this snack for us that was called a Pop Tart Thing. It was SO good it became my new snack for life! 30 yrs later my kids love it!
take a pop tart and rub peanut butter on it, slice a banana in 1/2 then in 1/2 again so it lays flat on top of the peanut butter. Take a slice of Kraft cheese and lay it on top of the banana. Microwave for about 20 secs until you see the cheese start to bubble. Eat with a fork. It is SO good the way these things taste when melted together. My kids are picky and they love it! Just try it once! :o)

Fun question! W.

OK PEOPLE, SHE DIDN'T ASK FOR YOU TO TOTALLY BE RUDE WHEN YOU ANSWERED HER QUESTION. She wasn't looking for people to rate her concoction. I agree, she isn't working in a cafeteria and making it for kids. Good grief. You haters are horrible. I would compare that to people saying nasty comments about my not being able to breast feed. I heard rude comments about that. And that wasn't like comparing strippers to Nuns. I do not have anything I think sounds gross but love it. Hats off to your puke bowl. I would try it. I don't think I would knock it until I tried it. And if you don't overdo it like make it all the time, you are fine!!!!!!! E.

My son likes to invent weird recipes. Today it was grits in spring roll wrappers. In the past, he's talked me into making dandelion quiche, chickpeas with chocolate sauce, blue cornmeal coated R. onion rings cooked in olive oil, even a fried grasshopper.
I have a few weird habits myself. I won't eat ketchup on french fries, but I will put mustard, mayo, or tartar sauce on them.

That sounds pretty disgusting, lol. And there would be no way that you could get me to even try that!...
The weirdest thing I do that my DH thinks is absoulty disgusting is I love the plain ruffles and a bowl of ketchup to dip them in.. It's like a french fry! But..
My DH eats something that I can't stand!! He eats barbacoa (which is the meat off the face of a cow) I guess its the best tacos ever but I won't go near it.
Halarious post though!

OK, you lost me with the potato chip addition...but I'll take your word that it hits the spot for you.

I love unusual organ meats cooked in their original ethnic way:
Argentinian BBQd brain, kidney, sweet meats;
Mexican lengua (tongue);
Korean BBQ'd pigs feet, sliced and smoked with the skin - super delish
and Vietnamese Pho soup topped with the delicate, beef tendon pieces.

2 things
#1--Meted cheese. I take Monterey Jack cheese and cube about enough to cover the bottom of the bowl. Then I add a little garlic salt and oregano and put it in the microwave until its melted. Mix it when it comes out and grab a fork.. Good Eats!
#2--Peanut Butter on a spoon. Every get a sweet tooth during your monthly or can't help yourself from munching all day long. Well grab a spoon (soup) and get some Peanut butter. It is both savory and sweet. If you want to go further, sprinkle it with chocolate chips and call it dessert.
Thanks for asking,
Suzy and her men

I eat some weird stuff too, lol! I put yellow mustard on everything! Love to make grilled cheese with ham and mustard in it. I love pickle and egg sandwiches. I have to mix my rice with sour cream--so good. And I literally have to restrain myself from drinking all the green olive juice out of the jar---it tastes so salty and good, but gives me the worst stomach ache!

I couldn't even bring myself to try your "puke bowl", lol. Hmm people think I am gross because I dip my corndogs in ice cream, sometimes my burritos too. I also like chocolate in my popcorn, peanutbutter/maple syrup and banana sandwhich, icecream with milk poured over it (has to be the right amount and most just tell me to get a milkshake but its not the same thing), and ketchup in my mashed potatoes and my mac and cheese.
There's probably a lot more I am forgetting, because to me it's not weird. My family always thought I was a weird eater though. =)

hmmmm...in college I used to get a pack of ramen and crunch it up and add water, but not as much as called for. I would nuke it and then stir in the season packet and one slice of processed cheese. I loved it, my roomates thought it was disgusting, but they would have flipped at your recipe:D The thing with me is salty and sweet combos. I second the french fries dipped in a chocolate milkshake. I can eat a bowl of vanilla ice cream and dip pretzels in it. I do make one weird concoction. I take peanut butter and add either chocolate or strawberry syrup(whichever my son asked for that week!) and I add a little sugar and mix it up. Then I dip stick pretzels in it. With the chocolate it tastes like a reeses peanut butter cup, with the strawberry it is just yummy goodness! I have never actually told anyone that, so I don't know how anyone else would react:) But now I am working off baby weight and have to forgo all these practices!! Great question!

Just curious, but have you done time?? This right here that you are describing is called a "chi chi" in county and a "breakdown" upstate where I'm from and no need to explain, I can agree with you 100% that it is delicious, and will lay on your stomach so much so, that you may catch a 24 in solitary for being passed out for standing head count.

My ex BF used to make ramen drain out the water and add mayo, that was gross. Me I'm a dunker. A perfectly mayo'd tuna on white, dipped in milk. Pizza dipped in pepsi, pickels also dipped in milk. I've also mixed pepsi and milk, which looks disgusting and you have to drink fast before the froth on top breaks down. As crazy as your concoction sounds I would taste it. Sounds salty, I love me some salt!!! Happy Thanksgiving!

hmmm my weird food things.. i don't have so many disgusting things... but i drink pickle juice, and i love butter popcorn with chocolate icecream. i mix my breakfast up, but i guess a lot of people od that. so i'll mix my eggs, hashbrowns, and meat. ummm... that's all hte interesting mixes i do... but i have weird food habits... my food can't get mixed unless its something i would normally mix. i have to eat colored candies (M&Ms or skittles) in pairs of two fo the same color. if i have odd ones left i can't eat them. oh i know there's lots more food habits that i have but i can't remember them at hte moment.. lol if i asked my bf he could probably tell you more little things about my food. lol

When I was little, my brother and I used to dunk our pb&j sandwiches in our glass of koolaid-R. was the best! Sounds gross now, but back then, it was so yummy! I also like to put potato skin chips on my sloppy joes. Love the crunch and extra flavor it adds.

Just curious, how in the world you came up with that concoction?!!!

The thing is... the ingredients aren't all that bad (asian wheat noodles, potato crisps, crackers, soup base, & hot sauce), it's essentially a mexi or asian (depending on the hot sauce and soup base) casserole topping - the crunchy bits that everyone dives for sans casserole... it's the name WITH the ingredients. The visual imagery is just too vivid.

What I like is (mayby ;) considered off

- Sauerkraut & Avacado... got hooked on reubens with avocado while preggers.

- Grilled intestine on a stick (yakatori style)

- Shrimp heads (okay, southerners tend to)

- Oysters on the half for breakfast

- Umeboshi (sour plum)
