Whining My 1 Year Old

I have been whining my 1 year old for about 1 month now. He is completely uninterested and I have no not breast fed for about a week. I woke up this morning with a painful lump in my right breast. Is it a cloged milk duct? What can I do to get rid of it? I really don't want to pump and keep the milk supply going?
Thank you

What can I do next?

(I don't have an answer for you, but you might want to change your "whining" to "weaning" so the right people will read it.)

It may take a while for your body to recognize that you've quit breastfeeding.

One way to help open up the clogged milk duct is to take a shower, use a warm/hot washcloth over the painful lump, and encourage it to open with some massage....

You don't want to necessarily overstimulate the breast to produce more, but you want to open up the clog if possible, too.

If they pain gets very bad you need to call your dr. You may have mastitis. And that is not fun. I had to take meds to get rid of it when I had it a LONG time ago. But try a warm shower and see if that helps. If it get's hot like it has a fever call the dr don't mess around please. It is PAINFUL!!!!

U have to pump till the duct is emptied but only pump when full n pump for like five mins to relieve the breast. Your lucky most babies at a year won't wean. If you don't pump it you need Togo to dr n get antibiotics other wise you will get flu like symptoms

This happened to me about one week after we were completely done nursing... I was unable to clear it up the first day so I encouraged my daughter to nurse and she cleared it out very quickly! Good luck!
