I used the all-in-ones from www.clothdiaper.com
They are really nice and the price is lower than alot of the others I've seen.

The least expensive route would be prefolds with covers. 24 prefolds, 4 covers, 2 snappis, some Charlie's Soap and you would be set.

Pockets and all-in-ones are easier to put on and some are cuter, but to me, a few extra seconds on the changing table is worth not having to wait all the extra time to get the AIO's dry.

If prefolds seem to hard to maneuver, you could use fitted diapers under covers, but the cost is a bit higher.

Let me know if I can help you. You are not near me, so I can't show you the diapers, but I can talk to you more about using cloth if you like.

I do the cheapest method, which is chinese prefolds, but that might be a little harder ona 10 month old who is squirming more. We go to babiesbottomsandmore.com--they have a store in Farmer's branch and are very helpful. You can touch and feel (and even try the diapers on your baby) so you can find out what works best for you. I'd recommend buying maybe one of a few different kinds before you buy a ton. That way, you know what you like. Good luck!

We started CD about the same age as your child. We started with BumGenius 3.0 they are a one size pocket diaper. They are really easy to use and are great when you are just starting out and transitioning from disposibles. We are now venturing out to fitteds and going coverless or wearing a cover for outings though BumGenius are the bulk of the diapers we own.
