This September will be our 15 year anniversary so we are thinking about taking a vacation with just us. We both think somewhere warm but it also needs to be affordable and special.
So, where would you go? What would you do?
Thanks for the suggestions!

We're celebrating 14 this year. I would love to go on a cruise and send my husband somewhere else! LOL Just kidding.

Aruba is pretty darn affordable.

We have been to the Poconos...very romantic but can be pricey. We've taken a few cruises over the years and enjoyed those as well. Our all time favorite cruise was the disney cruise but I wouldn't want to do that without my kids. Our second fav vacation was St. Thomas. It is U.S. so no passport needed. You have plenty of time to shop around for great deals. Sign up for cheapcarribean.com , they will send you offers with huge discounts. Today they sent me a deal for a 5 day trip to St Thomas for $299 per person including air fare. The deals are there for the taking but you must book by the deadline and travel during the time frames indicated. I'm sure they will be offering great deals for September.

I would go to Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico or a cruise. Any one of these can be done pretty cheaply if you book early and find the deals. The only thing you have to keep in mind with any of them but Florida, is that you will need a passport. If you have one though, you are good to go!

P.S. Puerto Rico is gorgeous and is still a U.S. territory, so no passport!

Hawaii or Disney World. Both can be done affordably. My mother has recently become a fan of cruises, but I have not yet been on one.

We'd go to where we met- Sol Duc in the Olympic National Forest in Washington state. (look it up online!) It is so beautiful there! I would love to go back- but it might have to wait another couple of years until our 15th! I like the road trip idea also- but I guess it depends on how much time you have. Upstate New York is also beautiful.
Are you looking for more of a "catered to" type get away? or a hiking/camping one? Is there some special vacation that you have taken together that you would like to re-visit? Where did you go on your honey moon or where would you have liked to go on your honey moon?
My sister and her husband went to Japan and loved it!

i say visit the falls on the canadian side. it will be beautiful and it would not be tooo expensive because if you are willing you can probably drive there over a day or two and stop somewhere along the way. the most expensive thing would be the passports but those are good for 10 years and you could get a great hotel on priceline.com for probably a lower price then the hotel itself would offer and you would be able to do quite a few things

I would say Blackberry Farm in Tennessee but omg that is expensive! LOL (Our company took us almost a year ago for a company anniversary "party", it was wonderful!)

What about a road trip? Plan to visit some museums & things along the way. I don't know any specific places... except Huntsville, AL, has the Space & Rocket Center... lol

My daughter will be 12 when it's our 15th, so I would probably go on a cruise, just so my husband's job couldn't contact him and my daughter will be old enough to communicate. My daughter is just 2 now, and the thought of being out of touch scares me. My husband and I had a great time at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun. I wouldn't go to Mexico now with all the trouble and Cancun is a young person place. We were in our early 30s and felt too old for Cancun. I would look into the Sandals resorts in the Carribean. They are for couples only and are all inclusive.
