I have been using top load all these years cause of rental so did not own mine, I dislike top load as it uses tons of water, and destroy clothes...now there is steamer kinds and I love that, even though renting I have decided I want to own mine as money is wasted on broken clothing and wastage of energy.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

yeah LG seems good, just that I see models like LG and electrolux some say good and some say not, but nevertheless I like front better than top load just cause it saves water and has steam capabilities, does alot more good than top also can pause and insert clothes again without waiting for completion of wash cycle.

I have a Samsung and LOVE it! It has the steam option as well (which I rarely use but love having all the bells and whistles just in case). I know that you asked about the Electrolux and Maytag but just thought I'd chime in since I do LOVE my Samsung :)

Try these out... They are Whirlpool. The washer is a top load, but it's HE like the front loaders. It doesn't use near the amount of water and its huge. You can literally put 10 pairs of jeans in there at once (and my husband is 6'4, so that's a LOT of jean lol).

The Dryer is a steam dryer. It's awesome. I love them.

And with the washer, if you want to add something to the load once it has started, you don't have to wait forever like you do with a front load.

DO NOT BUY AN LG FRONT LOADING WASHER. They look gorgeous. Make your laundry room look so great. In 1 month, I guarantee your clothes will start to stink like mold and you'll have to throw out your clothes every 6 months and start fresh. Yes, you can buy products to wash your washing machine, but this is temporary and really just makes the mold smell nicer for about 3 days. Google "front loader washer mold" for reviews. My experience is not isolated.
We have an LG steam cleaner front loader, and it was the worst purchase I've ever made. In terms of water usage, YES,it uses less water. But with the moldy water situation, I regularly wash everything on EXTRA HOT, with an extra rinse to try to actually rinse with new(ER) water. Also, the energy "savings" comes from running a load through for nearly 2 hours unless you do a "Speed wash". Again - I'm bitter anytime I contemplate the over $1500 I paid for this complete piece of junk.
When I used to rent an apartment, my roommates and I rented a washer/dryer set. I suggest you look into whether that's possible with a front loader. Knowing what you're getting into will be worth saving yourself $1500 on a washer that makes clothes dirtier.

I have an LG front loader washer and dryer. I love them! I've never owned a maytag or electrolux. But my LG is awesome! :-)

My LG is horrible and I know how to use them.
If you get a Maytag, take an old tshirt and rub it around the entire inside of the top to make sure there are no jagged edges. My clothes kept tearing on our old one and they had to sand down the drum.

Check out the LG models too. They are rated very high and cost less.

I have had 2 Maytags. The first was a bomb as I purchased it when it first came out and thank goodness I purchased the service plan. It more than paid for itself. That unit is still in a rental house. The 2nd Maytag is with us, but in the garage. And now I have an LG it's fantastic. However, the LG dryer as a glitch with the lint basket.
