What Disney Restaurants Do You Recommend Making Reservations?

I can't say enough about the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at Ohana in the Polynesian resort. Awesome food served all-you-can eat family style, and the characters (including Mickey & Pluto) were awesome with my son.

If you'd rather someplace in a park, Tuscer House breakfast buffet in Animal Kingdom. Characters included Mickey, Donald. Daisy & Goofey. Good food, and if you're looking for an early start to the day, breakfast reservations actually begin before the park opens, getting you earlier access.

We LOVED our character breakfast at the Grand Floridian! Lots of fun characters there, and the food was good! We've been to quite a few and I have to say that this one was our favorite. Plus, if you're not staying at the Grand Floridian, it's a beautiful place to walk around either before or after breakfast. Have fun!

First of all, make reservations at any sit down restaurant you are going to eat at and make them now! Some of the better restaurants are probably already booked since many people make them exactly 180 days from when they are going.

As for places, Chef Mickey's (at the Contemporary) is pretty good and the characters are fun. The Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom is another fun one. Ohana at the Polynesian is really good food and a fun atmosphere, but if your kids aren't willing to eat Asian inspired food, probably not a good choice. We also love the character breakfast at the Grand Floridian. Great food and fun characters (Alice in Wonderland, Pooh, Mary Poppins, etc.)

Epcot has a dinner with the princesses at the Norwegian restaurant. I don't know how good it is (this is our first year trying it), but it sounds delicious! If your family is willing to eat and try new things than any of the countries in Epcot are FABULOUS!!! Our personal favorites are Canada, France, Japan, Mexico and Morocco. The Coral Reef Restaurant has a pretty cool atmosphere, but we have been disappointed with the food the past few times we have gone.

Hollywood Studios has a really fun restaurant for kids called the Sci-Fi. You eat in old "convertibles" while at a "drive-in movie". The food is pretty good, but the atmosphere is what makes it so much fun. Your kids would love it!

We also really love the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, and have heard that Cat Cora's restaurant Kouzzina at the Boardwalk is pretty good too. Hope this helps and have fun! :)

P.S. After looking at other responses, I agree completely with the T-Rex one too! My son thought that place was SO cool, and the food was really quite good considering you really go for the atmosphere!

Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort. Although we have only been there for dinner but I like getting pictures there because of the characters. Ie. Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck etc...

Well first you need to think what meal your kids (little ones) will like better. We did a few dinners and only 1 breakfast because I think its crazy to pay that much for breakfast. But at dinner the kids barely ate, while the breakfast they stuffed themselves. And that is the way it is at home, they always eat better for breakfast. SO if your kids are better breakfast eater, i would do more breakfast or brunch meals.

another breakfast with characters is one of the hotels by epcot... its better because its not crowded like the other ones.. andyou get to have more time with the characters.. i think it's the beach club one.. "not sure of the name.. also we did the polynesian dinner show for dinner one night.. it was really nice.. good luck

We loved the Princess Dinner in Norway. But you HAVE to go to the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney. It's AWESOME!!!

I went to the one with Winnie the Pooh and friends. It was really nice. The characters walk around the whole time and you can get pictures easily etc. They have Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.

I don't know if they have Goofy's Kitchen in Florida? We have it in downtown Disney in CA and it's great! They have pb&j pizza as well as all other kinds of foods that the kids get a kick out of, plus good food for the adults. The characters walk around visiting the tables. Alice and the Mad Hatter were hysterical!

Our favorite character meal was the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian. (And we've done the Breakfast w/ Donald @ the Animal Kingdom, Breakfast with the Princesses in Norway & Breakfast at the Grand Floridian as well).

We liked the restaurant at the Living Seas in Epcot (sorry can't remember the restaurant name) where one wall is glass and you can watch the fish and sharks swim by.

We did NOT like the sci-fi when our kids were younger. Some of the flicks were a bit scary...depends on your child...

We also had a character dinner at the Magic Kingdom. Again...I can't remember the restaurant, but I'm sure you could find it. It was near the Hall of the Presidents. It was good...served family-style...and food my kids loved...ham and turkey, mashed potatoes etc.

We love Chef Mickey's! Lot's of Character's, great buffet with something for everyone...lots of kid-friendly food. You are paying for the food as well as the characters so it should be appealing to all of you. I'm sure you've seen all the menus before but just in case, here they are:

This restaurant isn't in the park, but in the Disney Marketplace. If your kids haven't been to Rainforest Cafe, it's awesome! They have a little thunderstorm every hour... the animals in the restaurant go wild, etc... They have a REALLY great kids menu...Also there's a Ghiradelli's in the same marketplace...

Those probably aren't the more Disney-ish restaurants, but they were always my favorite when I lived there...
