What Are Must Do's and Places to Eat at Atlantis in the Bahamas?

We went there 10 years ago and we are going again next year! We took a trip out to the Exuma Cays. It was free (from my company) and fun but I wouldn't spend the money myself. The beach and snorkeling is the best. I wouldn't do anything else, activity wise. The town is not worth going to...junk! The Dive In has great food right by the pool and also the restaurant that you dine at right in front of the shark tank was delicious. Do you have the tasting bonus that came with booking? We have gone to Nobu in NY and it was fantastic. I would love to try Mesa Grille but it is very expensive. Have fun!

We didn't go to Atlantis, but we went to Nassau (from Disney cruise). On the semi-submarine tour we took, the local tour guide told us to go to the Fish Fry - I can't tell you how to get there, but it's a short bus ride (yes, we took the local city bus!) to what almost looks like a colorful shanty town but THE FOOD! Oh My Goodness. My husband had Conch salad that he said was fantastic - and he know's conch as he grew up in South FL and they went to Bimeny a lot when we were kids. If you're looking for fancy, this is NOT for you, but if you're looking for REAL Bahama food and local color (we were one of the few non-locals there), check it out. We were able to walk back to the pier where the cruise ship was docked (about 15 minutes) if that helps figuring out where it is.

Oh my gosh-have fun. That place looks very cool. We went on a cruise a few years back and it was one of the excursions but i just couldn't justify the cost for the amount of time we would have been there.

The restaurants inside the resort are pricey, but certainly great food.
Venture outside towards the harbor if you want a less priced menu as well as in the shopping court, you'll find some regular restaurants as well
( Italian, a believe a rib place.) When we were there, it was raining, so we didn't venture out of the complex. We found these lesser priced restaurants later in the trip..... The water rides are fun and the place is truly beautiful. Enjoy

My co worker was just in the Bahamas in June. They didn't stay at Atlantis, but at the Hilton. However, they did go to Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill restaurant at Atlantis for dinner one night and said it was phenomenal.

Wow! I won a trip there several years ago, you will love Atlantis! Since we went with our kids, we did not get to much in the fine dining options. But our first night, we did dine at a great restaurant just past the main lobby overlooking the aquarium (lower level has entrance to "The Dig" aquarium walk through) and the sea bass was just incredible! Sorry can't remember the restaurant name. Our favorite fun thing was the "torrent" river at the waterpark. We didn't do the Atlantis dolphin experience (too expensive). But we found a fun dolphin experience cruise that was just a short walk from the resort, and it was much more reasonable.
