Ok so I know this may sound strange but I need to know what size shoe do you think a 12yr old girl wears? Is is probable that she is in women's sizes. I'm just asking because my little cousin in my wedding (as a jr. bridesmaid) and we were thinking of having her wear the same shoe as the other reg. bridesmaids but the shoe only comes in women's sizes. I talked to her and she doesn't know what size she is... she thinks she maybe a six (but she doesn't know-maybe a 5) and we live in two separate towns so until I get to take her to the shop to let her try on shoes... I'm just sitting here worrying about if I have to think of another option for her or not! Anyone have a 12yr old and what size shoe is she?
Yea for Maids of Honor! My sister took her today and they tried on shoes! She was a size 6.5! And she thought she was a 4 or a 5 ( I was wrong in the above msg!)! Well thanks everyone!
why are you taking to a child of 12......tell her mom or dad to take her to a shoe store to get measured for the shoe. My daughter is 12 and wears a size 8 1/2 - 9 in womens, my 14 yr old wears a size 7 1/2 in womens. She will be able to wear the same shoe as the bridal party.My 12 yr is really tall...is she tall???? so therefore the bigger foot size , my other daughter is petite.

You don't have to fret over it, and you don't have to wait for her to come into town. Have her go to Payless, or another shoe store that we also have one of here, and have them measure her foot. They should have one of those things that she puts her heel against and it tells how long her foot is, and then they will know what size she wears. Then she can call you and let you know. :)
It's totally possible - I wore a size 6 women's shoe when i was 8 years old...by the time i was 12 I wore a size 10 womens shoe (and still do!). i would suggest having her go to a real shoe store and having them measure her feet so you can know for sure. If she's not, its amazing what shoes you can find in kids sizes now you can probably find something almost identical. Good luck!!
My 12 year old wears a women's size 8, but she's also about 5'6".
It really all depends on how tall she is etc. Have her stop by a shoe store there near her, and have them measure her feet. Then she can just call you up and say, 'hey I'm this size'...and wha la. :-) That way you don't spend money on something she may or may not fit in.

not a weird question at all! I have a ten year old daughter who is in women's sizes! It also depends on the shoe! If i was in your position, before you buy the shoes and have them dyed, ask her to go to any shoe store and have her foot measured, it only takes about 5 minutes and is usually free. Its better than wasting money trying to guess at getting it right! Have her explain that it might be a wheel or pump because sometimes tennis shoes measure slightly larger. My 13 year old has been in the women's shoes since she was 9. Girls shoes only go up to size 4 and then it is on to women's size 5 and up, so it is probable that she is wearing women's sizes. Have her look on the inside flap of a pair of her tennis shoes and that should tell you, but don't buy the shoes because those feet will probably grow between now and september and then you will have to invest more money...
