Weight Loss Challenge!! - South Gate,CA
Ladies,
Please help!! I am exhausted of trying work out routines, eating healthier and using over the counter diet pills or plans to lose weight. I've had no results at all.
It's almost 4 months since I started working out routinely and taking supplements. I am not losing weight. I feel exhausted and results.
Does anyone have a diet plan that has worked? Does anyone recommend a specail diet?
I'm 30 years old and used to be about 125 lbs before my DD was born. I lost most of the weight after her birth but now she will be 2 next month and I'm 155lbs. I feel disgusting.. nothing fits me.. I went from a small to a large and sometimes x-large.
Please help!! any suggestions? Advice will help?

I had great success with low carb diets. In fact, when I first started, I lost too much weight. I would eat high protein, low fat, and low carb tortillas to replace bread.
Now, I eat a lot of lean cuisines. I find that they are proportioned and taste great. They have lots of choices.
I did low carb first to lose the weight and now lean cuisines to maintain.

I would suggest you have your thyroid checked. Not losing weight when you are putting in honest effort is usually a sign that your thyroid is low. It's virtually impossible to lose weight if your thyroid is low. I know because I've been there.
If you are looking for a doctor, my doctor is amazing: Kent Holtorf, Torrance. Here's his Web site: http://www.hormoneandlongevitycenter.com/thyroidtreatments1/ He treats thyroid diffrently than traditional doctors, and he gets results form it. I've sent many friends to him and so many had undiagnosed thyroid issues.
Hope you find something that helps.
Take care,
B.

Raw foods helped me. Also I did a nutritive cleanse which works great. To order go to www.youngliving.us click on products then nutrition supplements and the cleanse is the first product on the list. It is all natural, tastes great, and works! I did it breastfeeding and it was not a problem. If you want to purchase you can use my distributor number while you are purchasing so you get it at wholesale. 914239.
best of luck losing!

D.,
I think we can all relate to this dilema.
I had four boys - in four years. Needless to say I was
left with a body that was pulled and stretched more than
I ever expected. I had tried EVERYTHING to get out of
maternity clothes and found myself stuck in that size.
I had a girlfriend tell me she was doing Weight Watchers -
she also had four kids and we used to be the same size. She
was shrinking on Weight Watchers and I was growing on my
diet and working out. I joined Weight Watchers and have been
VERY successful with it. I have lost over 30 pounds and my
girlfriend has lost over 60!!
Check it out and see if it's something that works for you.
It's not a diet. First meeting is FREE.
I hope you look into it.

If you have the money and are not breast feeding there is a company called smart for life. I lost 80 lbs in only about 6 months with them. It is hard at first, but it really works. There is no excercising involved. They do check you out by a doctor first, supply you with all the supplements and vitimins you need and you are monotored very closely, going in once a week and then seeing the doc once a month. It worked for me. It's expensive, but fast.

i was in the same boat as you when my son was born. it's kinda depressing when nothing fits, huh. well, to be honest, Weight Watchers really worked for me. i went on the "core" plan. which is i could eat as much as i wanted of the core foods which, to my surprise, was very easy. on the core plan, you're allowed 35 weekly points to use however you wish. i would use mine on french fries, since that was my weakness. what i liked about WW is i didn't feel deprived of any foods. if i wanted it, i ate it. i would just use the points, or if it was core...all the better. you should check out a meeting near you. they even have meeting for moms trying to lose the baby weight. those meetings have kids and toys to play with to keep them busy. good luck to you and give it a try...you'll like it, i promise.

Hey D.,
Nope, no special pill helped me either!! Good old fashion watching what I ate and cutting my food in half (portion) help me loss 30 in 5 months adding in determation, patience and a 6 day work out schedule and believe me that was not the easiest thing with working part-time and two very busy teenagers and husband!!! Even when I went out to eat, I still ordered healty but as soon as the waitress brought the food I would ask for a to go box right away and scoop half my food off the plate!! It's hard and frustration but weight loss takes time!! I also like to read and watch weight loss programs cause compared to some people who need to loss 100+ pounds, we're a piece of cake and makes me thankful that it hasn't gotten that bad for me!! So hang in there, don't give in....keep a picture of u'rself, of how you would like to look again and that helps motivate you as well!!! Good Luck, V.

first of all, give yourself a break. think of some nice things, things you like about your body (like the fact it gave you your baby!)
then....
set realistic goals and find a partner. i used Weight watchers and lost 20 lbs. it was difficult the first 2 weeks b/c i had to really think about it but once you get it, it is easy and allows you to have a life and be human! it has been 4 years and i still use my 'weight watchers brain' and find i dont fluctuate more than 5 lbs on average and that is rare. as for exercise. find something you love. I would not run if someone chased me, that's how much i dislike exercise but my husband got me a wii fit and i have been doing it every morning! that being said, you may want to rule out anything medical AND remember, this worked for me, you have to find what works for you. what area are you in?

Weight Watchers worked for me, but the trick is you actually have to go to the meetings. That way you hold yourself accountable. If you just try it at home or online without the weekly weigh-in you might be more likely to "cheat." I lost the weight of both my kids this way. Good luck :)
