I've lived in the Northeast Florida area for yeeears, and Angela S is spot on. You really just need to check the weather forecast when it gets close to time to go. We are actually up close to the state line with GA now, and even here, we have had Christmases (and Thanksgivings) where we wore shorts. Not gone swimming, but it isn't a novelty for us, either... so that may be partly the reason.

I live in Boca Raton which is about 30 minutes south.

We have had many Thanksgiving days where we could easily seat guests outside and have it be pleasant.

I usually stop swimming in the ocean by the end of October, but many people are still in the ocean in November.

Christmas week up through New Years can be a little more dicey. We have actually had some cold snaps hit in January where we get down in the high 40's - which down here is VERY cold. On the other hand it could be hot like summer. You just never know. Also, Christmas week through New Years is THE most crowded time down here. So it's a little harder to go to the movies, out to dinner, etc.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times here. That's just something cool about hanging by the pool yet having all the turkey and fixin's.

For things to do the kids would probably love Lion Country Safari which is in Loxahatchee (west of West Palm).

The adults may like to visit the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach (it's a former Flagler home). The kids may even like it depending whether they like museums.

If I think of more cool things to do I will message you!

South Florida usually stays a little warmer then here in central Florida so you should be able to go swimming. The winter here is usually 70's or so with little humidity.

Sorry, I don't know what's in that area to do other then beaches, but I am sure you can Google stuff to do in that area. Disney and Orlando attractions are about 2 hours or so away.

I have been in Tampa area (about middle of the state, gulf side,) And we have swam at Christmas, and we have been bundled .. it just depends.

Palm Beach is southern, it will likely be warmer there.

It's hit or miss - It can be 60 or it can be 90. It all just depends if we get a cold front. Normal weather it is nice - around 80 ish. But seriously, one week it will be high of 65 and the next week it'll be high of 90.
