We Lost the Tot-Loc magnet...any Tricks on How to Get the Cabinets to Open?

We have a few of our cabinets set up with the Tot-Loc babyproofing system. Unfortunately, we have managed to lose the magnet that is needed to open the doors. We live a bit far from Babies R Us to buy a replacement magnet and thus I was wondering if any of you knew of any alternate methods to get the cabinets to unlock. I have tried using other magnets that we have around the house, but have not had much luck thus far.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not familiar with those locks, but you might be able to buy a strong magnet that might work. Something more heavy duty than a simple refrigerator magnet.

Home Depot also sells the Tot-Locs. Is that closer? Good luck.

You can go to the hardware store and purchase a few super magnets. The ones we found were small and we put a few together to be able to hold it to use. Good Luck

You can order them on line for I think 8.99 or less if that's more convenient.

Good luck to you!
