I'm looking for somewhere for my 5 year old to attend vacation Bible school this summer. We live at approx. 83rd and Nall, and I'd like to take him somewhere between here and Johnson drive if possible. (Slightly south is ok, too!)
He is really into the Chronicles of Narnia right now, and I thought I'd seen a sign advertising VBS with that theme, but I can't remember where.
Any suggestions?

Village Presbyterian has a wonderful summer progam. They are at 71st and Mission. Their VBS is in July.

There is a wonderful VBS very close to you at Hillcrest Covenant Church at 88th and Nall. They put on a great VBS every year. This year it is the week of June 9th, but I don't know the theme. They have a website at myhillcrestcovenant.org

I would just look in the phone book and make some calls or
look on google for a close church to you.
And as far as sleeping when your three boys get in school,
well, my best to you. I have 3 boys also and they are
25,23, and 21. And I don't get much sleep now either. And they are all on their own. Of course I live in Saudi Arabia.
But I do have to put them in God's hands daily.

The church I attend, Lane Avenue General Baptist, is doing the Veggie Tales theme VBS. It's called the Pirates Who don't do Anything. It seems really cute! We are having our VBS early this year. It is in the early part of June. If you'd like to call the church number that'd be fine. It is ###-###-####. we are located on 87th street and Lane Ave. It's very simple to find. If you leave a message, if no one answers, then he'll call ya back with the dates. It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.
I saw the Narnia sign too - it's at Vineyard church at 97th & Antioch. I just checked their website though, it ends June 1st & is not their VBS program.
B.--hello--my name is J., and I am the Elder Chairperson of Christian Education at Southminster Presbyterian Church which is located at 6306 Roe in Prairie Village. Our Vacation Bible School is June 16-19, and we will be doing a series on "the Great Bible Reef"--your son is very welcome to attend, and you can either pick up a VBS registration form at the church office, or, call the church at ###-###-#### and ask that an application be sent. The director of VBS this year is Becky Newkirk, and we have great activities planned, including an activity for the whole family on the last evening. Hope this information helps!
Lenexa Baptist Church at 87th & Lackman has theirs June 16-23. The theme is Outrigger Island and they always do a great job. You can check out their website at lenexabaptist.com.

Westside Family church on Woodsonia at 83rd is having theirs week of June 16th, 9:00-11:45, but the theme is Tropical (Outrigger) Island, he will still enjoy, has he completed Kindergarten? They start with children who have attended Kindergarten, 2007-2008 thru 5th graders
Hillcrest Covenant Church on 8801 Nall is having a Narnia theme VBS from June 9th to ther 13th. My daughter and I will be team leaders for 3rd grade. From the meetings I have attended it sounds like it will be great.
The Children's Pastor, Pat Croasman, wrote the curriculum herself. We have been members there for almost 3 years and it is a wonderful church in so many ways!
