Upset Stomach, Acid Reflux and Pregnancy (?)

For the past few weeks, I have been getting upset stomachs. It will happen all of a sudden. I have also had the acid feeling in my throat pretty much all day. During meals, I will be fine and about 5 or 10 minutes later, i suddenly become nauseous. I haven't tested for pregnancy (I'm waiting for my doctors appointment next week). I'm just wondering if this may be one of the "signs" of pregnancy. It is a possibility that I may be.

What can I do next?

It sounds like it to me. I always have a few days of feeling sick when I'm like 3 weeks pregnant and then it really hits me around 8 weeks. I always get horrible acid reflux but that isn't until month 6. Although I have had a few friends tell me that they get acid reflux right at first and then it goes away as they get farther along. So it sounds to me like you could be pregnant! Congrats.

I also had that...the doctor confirmed no pregnancy, and after months of testing, we found out that I had Barrett's esophagus. I could have sworn I was pregnant again, but in fact, it was something completely different (although just like you, I felt like that all of the time). I lost weight and felt horrible for about 3 months, once I was diagnosed, I began taking prilosec daily, and I now feel great! Good luck at the doctor!

I had that with my second.... believe it or not you can take antacids (if you are prego) and you doc should prescribe you some. Saved my life!!!! I even had to be in the hospital because of the pain..... so don't let it get to that.
The meds are no harm to baby and relief for you!

Drink a tablespoon of red wine vinegar. It will keep the acid at bay!

I personally never get heartburn or nausea and only had both when I was pregnant. Heartburn was the first sign for me that I was pregnant with baby #2. Best of luck!
