University Area, Charlotte - Play Groups on Weekends???

Hi moms. I'm a mom of a 7 month old boy and a 7 year old boy. I am despirate to find a playgroup or moms meeting that meets 1 or 2 times a month, on a Saturday or even an afternoon after school age kids come home. I'm a SAHM and I work from home as well - and I'm seeking an outlet w/ the baby for some social time w/ other moms of babies around his age! I often see groups of mom's strolling/walking at Concord Mills and at Northlake mall - I'd love to get a group started to meet on Saturday's around lunch for a walk and a snack and socialize. I often see on the baby channel that moms all over are making walking groups as well as meeting at coffee houses or parks. Anyone interested? Anyone already doing this? Weekdays are great, depending on the time - I also have the responsibility of a school age child, and I have to make sure his needs are met also!!!

I also have a 7 month old son and am in desparate need of "moms" to hang out with! All of my friends are single or married with no children. I feel like I'd be forcing them to hang out with my son! i live in university area too and i have a 15 month old and a 9 year old daughters. let me know i'd love to meet other moms and get the kids out the house. i'm 28 married and a fulltime mom and work for the city full time.

Try joining CharlotteMommies.com. They have a private forum just for moms in the university area. They have events for playdates and such all the time! The group is free to join!

Hello My husband and I and our 3 yr old daughter just moved to the davis lake area @ 7 months ago. I do have a ft job and my daughter goes to day care downtown, but would love to get together on the weekends. i was a part of this group when i first moved her about 1 1/2 yrs ago, but then i just haven't had the time to keep up with it. Would like to meet you andyour boys!!
