Two Heart Attacks Within a Year - Coronary Artery Spasm

Two weeks ago I had to go to the emergency room with severe chest pains. This was my second mild heart attack within one year. This time however they preformed a heart cath and determined I have Coronary Artery Spasm. I have since been put on medication to help prevent another heart attack. However, I am still in pain and now am having memory loss issues. Anyone know a great heart doctor or anything about this condition? I want to get another opinion on what is going on with me. Also, my 6 year old daughter is worrying a lot about what is going on with me. I have tried to act as though I am much better, but children are so smart. Is there any ideas of things I could do to ease her mind? I have been so scared about my health as well as what she is feeling. Any advise would be appreciated.

Dr. Slife next to North Hills Hospital on Booth Calloway in North Richland Hills is a cardiologist. I saw him last month and I was really impressed with him. It is better to get a second opinion. You are too young and need to think about yourself and your little girl. Don't wait too long as anything can happen without warning. Will keep you and your family in my prayers!

P. my prayers are with you and your family. I did not have heart attacks. I started having strokes at your age. I am now 41. When you start down this road of solving your medical issues it will leave you confused and tired somedays. On other days elated that you have found some tidbit of information. After my first major stroke, I had afasia (loss of language) and lost 1 1/2 year of memory. It was a very difficult time. Brain fog was an understatement. The more support you have from your husband and close family/friends the better. I have a genetic retinal disorder where I am going blind. In the ensuing years I have had several more small strokes. Each effects me differently. Our son is now 17. He was confused and worried when Mommie was sick, tired, confused, spoke a new language (garbage, part of the afasia). Children are resilent, as long as you and your husband explain your health in an age appropriate manner. As she gets older, she can help you do research, cook healthy meals, etc. Our son is well adjusted and not worriesome about my health. Do not give up on finding a doctor that will answer all your questions. It is very tiring, but well worh it. Get plenty of rest, eat healthy foods, sleep, sleep, sleep, and stay hydrated. The anxiety will start to die down when you are more knowledgeable about your health. If you need to just talk please feel free to contact me. You and yours are in my families prayers.

YES! Go see Michael Rothkopf or Ali Kizilbash at the CSANT office in Irving (or any of their other partners in that office). ###-###-#### http://www.csant.com/csant/index.html

P., I would recommend getting a second opinion. Baylor downtown has good Cardiologists. I'm sure any cardiologist in the Baylor system would be highly recommended.
