Hi moms,
Im a stay at home mom of a lovely 2 yo. My husband works full time and I would liek to help him with some of the bills.
Since I have previous exprience on babysitting, I want to babysit at home. Maybe 1 or 2 kids.
I already posted an add on Craigslist and ebay classifieds, but haven't had much luck :(
Do you moms know of another great website to post jobs ?

Thank you

Tell EVERYONE you know (in person, on FB, etc.) that you are looking for babysitting work.
I wouldn't get a sitter that's a stranger from craigslist, would you? Just saying that your vest bet is someone who know you personally, or someone that knows someone you know.
Church bulletin?
MOPS group?
Spread the word--literally!

Also check the state requirments for watching more than one kid and if you need a license. if you have 1 kid and you take on 2 more that may mean you need to be licensed. Not sure of the requirements in your state.

Go to schools - many moms are looking for something to do with their kids over summer break.

Good luck

Are you on Facebook? If so, I would post on there and ask local friends to spread the word. Same thing if you go to church, just start letting people know you are doing that and to tell their friends and keep an eye out for anyone that may be interested. I'm thinking about doing the same thing during the summer. Good luck!

Network with your neighborhood and with the schools.

Our HOA has a secured website where people can post babysitting, music lessons, tutoring, etc.

Word of mouth is a great option because you will know who you are getting and not some stranger off craigslist, etc.

Make up a nice, professional looking flyer and post it around town on the community message boards. It wouldn't hurt to get yourself CPR certified as many parents like that. Make sure you have references available when people call to inquire. Good luck!

I think word of mouth is your best bet, especially since you're not licensed. I don't know many people who would pick a babysitter listed on Craigs List. The elementary schools in our area usually keep a list of daycare providers, but you probably have to be licensed for them to give out your name.

Another poster mentioned Care.Com. That is a great website for what you want to do. :-)
