Hi Mama's

My son will be 2 and I am looking for a toy list to give my family. My son loves to play ball: has two basketball nets, baseball bats, soccer ball, golf clubs. Any other ideas that your boys or girls just love?

He is really into Sesame street and loves to play with the figurines.

Ideas I thought of: kitchen, play food, but I don't know what else to get him.
Thanks for you help.

What can I do next?

My son is 2 years and 4 months. Here is a list of his favorites:

ColorWonder paper and markers from Crayola
Playdoh- not the gadgets that make ice cream or food, just playdoh and some cookie cutters.
Outdoor water table with squirt toys, boats, watering cans.
Little people - theres several play sets. School bus set is his favorite.
Flashlights - any toy store will have kid flashlights.(animals-the light in in their mouth)
Water guns - you can get a pack of them very cheap and they're hours of fun.
Toy garage with small hot wheel size cars.
Kitchen with pretend food, plates, spoons.

If you have outside space, my son loves his toy lawnmower. All manner of tools are good - especially safe real ones (but play ones are good too). He likes flashlights and ride on trucks too.

My son has a big sister, so he gets more of this than other boys maybe, but he also loves dress up clothes (he dresses like a princess, but they also have construction worker outfits, etc). He also continues to play with doll strollers (not so much the dolls, but he does like to push around his stuffed animals).

Finally, both my kids like blocks - duplo, megablox, wooden blocks, bristle blocks, stacking/nesting boxes are all good.

Happy second birthday!

Both of my boys (one is 4 the other will be 2 in Oct.), LOVE and have always loved any kind of truck or car -the Tonka stuff, Hotwheels -and the Hotwheels tracks and sets you can buy, and generally any type of vehicle. Dump trucks are big and so are the Tonka garbage and recycling trucks and fire engines.

They also love Thomas the train -or any train stuff. The oldest is a little past Thomas, but still likes it occasionally and still plays with the train table all the time. The youngest loves Thomas and all things trains. There are several varieties of Thomas collections -portable plastic tracks, the wooden railway and then stuff that looks like the wooden railway set but isn't Thomas brand -Imagine from Toys R Us and a few more.

They both love (as well as every other kid I know) their sand and water table too.
