Tongue Tied and Bottom Teeth

My 6mth old had his tonge clipped at 3 months. He was tongue tied from tip of tongue to where his bottom teeth would come in. It was pretty thin, so the ENT just clipped it in the room right then and there. Didn't have any problems before or after. Now I see that his TOP two front teeth are starting to come in. But absolutely no sign of his bottom teeth. Is this normal? Someone told me that there's a chance that he won't get his bottom teeth because of him being 'tongue tied'. HELP!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks you guys! This is my 3rd child, but this is all brand new to me. It was a family member that had told me that, and they said they had read it somewhere. If it's a myth, then WAHOO I'll sleep better now. Again, thanks you guys!

Has NOTHING to do with it. I was tongue tied and clipped at 3 months. My teeth are great. I'm almost 37.

2 of my 4 kids had sublingual frenulectomies within weeks of birth. Their teeth are fine and came in fine.

DON'T STRESS. It's just the pattern of how they are coming in. Who in the world told you that???? Sounds like unnecessary drama to me.

That is a huge myth.
I was tongue tied and clipped and I have all my teeth. With the exception of my wisdom teeth.
bottom teeth haven't come in simply because they haven't come in

All 3 of my kids were tongue tied!!! The first teeth tocome in were thier front teeth. Now my other child who was not tongue ties was very late in having her teeth come in so late that I was ready to go have xrays done to make sure there were actually teeth buds down there. My doctor told me that he had never seen a case where a child didnt get teeth coming in. And his opinion was that if that were going to be the case there would have been other issues coming up before hand that would lend a clue to that being the case. Well she has a full mouth of beautiful teeth and the other 3 do as well.
If you are still worried why dont you give the pediatrician a call and maybe they can calm your fears. But my doctor never ever said to me that being tongue tied had anything to do with the possibilty of not getting bottom teeth in. I would take get a doctors advice if you are worried.
