Ok,my son,who is 2.5 is completely up to date on his vaccinations. He has gotten the flu shot the last two seasons and I plan on him getting it again this year. The only thing I'm not sure on is whether or not to have him vaccinated for the swine flu. With this being a new strand of flu and a new vaccine,I am having my concerns(don't really want my son being the guinea pig!). I have talked to a few other moms and most of them have opted to skip the swine flu vaccine. My son doesn't go to daycare and we don't really go out too much.(just the weekly trip to the grocery store and the occasional trip to walmart!) I already practice good hygiene and always carry hand sanitizer in my purse for those trips where he will be touching those gross shopping carts! But with the swine flu still dominating the news it is a scary thing! I was just wondering if you other mamas plan on getting your kids vaccinated for the swine flu or if you have the same concerns as me!

What can I do next?

Dr. Andrew Wiehl was on Larry King a couple of nights ago and he said he would not get the swine flu vaccine until it had been a little more tested.
Hope this helps. V. S.

both my children get vaccinated and will get the regular flu vaccine. I will skip the swine flu vaccine because it is just too new and has probably been rushed. If your son isn't in school, I see no reason to do it with the concerns you have. Oh boy, here come the vaccine responses!

I am a 27 year old stay at home mom. my daughter is 2 and my son 1 month. i am married to my wonderful husband since january of this year. previously a dental assistant for 6 years, sometimes missing the working world.
