Small Business Credit Card Recommendation
Does anyone have a small business credit card that they are happy using? I have recently set up my website and my business is growing. I don't travel for my job, but do use credit for both gas and other business purchases. If you have any suggestions, I would welcome them.
Thanks,
J.

I have used Advanta for a number of years for my stamping business (http://lisamiller.stampinup.net) and have been mostly happy. Yes they won't budge on their interest rates, but it was pretty easy to get their card and there is a great rewards program where you can get points in the form of a rewards card, or other merchandise, gift cards, travel vouchers, etc. Their annual fee is $40 and I haven't tried to get out of that yet since they wouldn't lower the apr. otherwise I'm happy w/them, and their website bill payment is easy to use. they just re-formatted their paper bills to appear to be easier to read. I usually just read it online tho.

Hello! J..
I have two small businesses, both on ____@____.com is a school for continuing professional education for adults and the other a tax practice. As an accountant, I strongly advise you to use a small business credit card for all business purposes. Chase Bank has very good small business financial resources including credit cards, debit cards, lines of credit and other features to help you with growing and maintaining your business financial needs. The visa debit and credit cards allow you to earn points for travel and also for purchasing equipment and supplies. I would also suggest you register with Office Max, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart as a business in your community, to earn additional perks. If you need more information feel free to contact me. My email is ____@____.com. M. M.

Advanta is a good company, but they aren't very helpful with their rates. With an 820 credit score I still had 11.99% interest on that card. Any other card that I own has between 1.9 and 6.9%.
If you carry small balances, I highly recommend the American Express PLUM card. It's for small businesses, and you get a 2% early pay discount if you pay your bill in full before the due date. If you don't pay it in full, you only have to pay 10% of the new balance and can defer the rest of it interest free for 60 days. It's an outstanding card with lots of business benefits (discounts with FedEx, floral delivery, etc.). I think it's just www.plumcard.com.

i opened a card with american express blue for business about 6 years ago when i began to need a card for my business. They have been great - and even provide some interesting "tools" for marketing! Also, they have a point program for stuff which is fun and lastly, you can get discounts if you use your card at certain places.
Hope that helps!!
I'd love to see some of your creations!

Good Morning J..
I read your question above. My husband and I are business owners. I also work full time at Harris Bank in New Lenox plus I am a first time mother of a beautiful 5 month old girl.
We have a Simply Cash American Express card. It is through Harris Bank. There is no annual fee. You receive a percentage of cash back on specific purchases. For example....if you ship alot of your stuff through Fed Ex you get something like 5% cash back. You get 3% cash back for fuel. Most Business cards would like their balances paid off each month. The nice thing about this card is if you have an off month, the balance doesn't need to be paid in full. The down fall is you get charged like 23% or something close to that. You can pay your bills online at no charge as well. You can also itimize your statement for tax purposes.
I also have a Capital One Business credit card. It's just about the same as the Amex. I must say that with the way things are now a days with credit, I won't lie....you will need a pretty good credit score to get some kind of credit line. If you want to talk more, you can me an email @ ____@____.com or you can call ____@____.com's my work number.

I recently got a business credit card and found it by going to http://www.creditcards.com they have business cards listed and you can look at their offers. I went with Advanta, I have not had the card long enough to tell you good or bad but have not had problems.
